Their website makes it sound like its for dumb or socially awkward people, my counselor told me I got selected because I am first gen. My friend at UCD said you get special internship opportunities. Can anyone give me more info on this?

It is not for dumb people at all… if you were dumb, you wouldn’t have got into UC Davis! EOP doesn’t affect the admission process at all.

Educational Opportunity Program… well, it just provides support for the students (and family) from various background (low-income, first gen).

Read this: admissions.ucdavis.edu/admissions/eop.cfm

I already did, that’s what gave me this feeling. Do you have any first hand experience with EOP?

Nope, not at all. Haha. I got the EOP too. I’m going to their offices next week (Decision UC Davis Day) and talk to them about it. But basically, all they do is help us through college.

Awesome then.

I’ll probably be at that too, got to decide between it and NYU’s.

Internships might depend on your major - but if you are EOP and a bio major you can also apply for BUSP: [UC Davis: BUSP](http://www.busp.ucdavis.edu/curriculum.aspx) - stipends and internships!

What is Davis thinking, just saw the info day is on a Friday, can’t make it due to other commitments. I guess I can go to the picnic

^I have the same problem…I can’t skip school for the Decision Day, but I am going to the Picnic Day xD
