I think I qualify for EOP but I put on my application that my father went to some college, BUT he didn’t get a degree. This is the same case for my other friend, but he is an EOP student. So I’m wondering if I can contact admissions so I can be an EOP student as well ? My friend and I have about the same financial aid information as well.

i don’t think you have to be 1st generation college in order to be EOP-eligible. look at the info on the website…

You can do what I did,(I didn’t learn about EOP until after I was accepted to Davis), which was email the EOP admission office and include your family size, income and your parents education level. Also include why you want to be in the program. Took them a few weeks to get back to me but they sent me an email that said "EOP appeal granted, congratulations."Oh and send your email to : eopadmissions@ucdavis.edu .

Thank you Tati ! Should I e-mail them a short essay or just get to the point in the e-mail ?

I wrote about a paragraph on why I wanted to be in the program and the reason why I hadn’t applied at the time of the application because I didn’t know about it. Then after the paragraph I basically said "Here is my family information. Family income: Family Size: Parent education level: Mother: Father: " Then thanked them for their consideration and that was it.
