How difficult is this program to get into and does it look good to college admissions?

It doesn't seem to help much with Stanford admissions. Can't say for other schools, or how hard it is to get into. Difficulty of getting in probably depends on the course you're applying for anyway.

Jane2, I can't comment on the difficulty of getting into the EPGY summer program as my daughter only went to the EPGY OHS summer session, however, she did say she had the greatest two weeks of her life.

I wanted to ask the same question, does it help in college admissions ? or in stanford admissions?

NO. my experience is that anyone who can afford to pay a bunch of money can get in.

I think it used to in 2000 when epgy enrolled maybe 40 students their first summer. the fact that you were the first 40 students gave a slight, very very slight edge to admission in my opinion. i attended epgy before, and most of my counselors were not just students, but also previous epgy attendees (in 2000 or maybe 2001) obviously stanford admits a lot of people despite low acceptance rate, but the edge that epgy gave over admissions is long gone now

Does anyone know what the difference between the EPGY (I am already taking classes from them) summer and the Summer High School at Stanford?

I am applying to the latter and If I am already doing stuff with the EPGY does that mean its a different application process?

Overall what’s the admissions rate?

There are several different summer programs on the Stanford campus with different admission processes. Compare the different program websites and application forms carefully.

I definitely think that EPGY is not prestigious, but I think I’m probably going there anyway this summer because from what I’ve heard, it’s supposed to be a pretty cool experience.
Anyone else attending the Beijing biotech/biomed course this summer?
