I will probably end up writing an essay about all of these but let me know which ones you think will stand out the most! thanks :)

-scuba diving experience and how it's made me so much more aware of the world around me, and not just on the surface. scuba is a passion of mine, I'm currently pursuing my dive master cert and traveling to Belize in February to dive

-diversity in the area I live in - grew up on small navy bases my whole life and when my dad retired we moved to Alexandria va, right outside of dc. I would focus in on my first day of sixth grade and seeing the water fountain with 'water fountain' written in seven different languages on a sign above it. then go on to talk about how this influenced my passion and interest for learning about different cultures ( I want to be an anthropology or sociology major )

-am current co captain for my varsity hs lax team, we've had a lot of challenges with coaching and coming together as a team and I would talk about the responsibility that was bestowed on me and how it helped me grow as a student and a leader

-run xc in the fall and would talk about how partaking in such a rigorous individual sport taught me not to worry about my peers so mh and focus only own performance - basically how it changed my outlook and priorities from social to academic at the beginning of junior year and how I'm better for it.

I'm applying Ed to northwestern so if there's one you feel they would appreciate more, let me know! :)
