Hi everyone, I noticed a mistake in my essay after i have submitted it. It said "in which UCLA provides these courses at UCLA" etc... I am very uncomfortable with the fact that I missed to see mistake that looks obviously horrible, but i would like to know what everyone else thinks.

Is this a big issue?

Will they look past it and take it for a mistake?

i made a typo on my application too, i called admissions and they said not to worry about it. Plus, UCLA decisions dont come out until may so um...worry about it when the time comes lol

Essays just give the counselor a feel of who you are and only weighs a lot if you are on the border.

The essay can help you push yourself into an acceptance from your school, or could do nothing. It's definitely not going to hurt you. You can write a essay about Harry Potter, but if your stats are great, they could careless about the essay.

I think they are definitely looking for quality writing especially from transfers who should be able to write at the college level at this point. However, content is far and away the most important aspect of the essays.

yeah, on the application portion where you write your ECs, under "academic achievement" i wrote down "dean's list" and um...on the description section, i wrote " academic achievement for students with a gpa of 3.5 of higher" instead of or higher lol... oh well! That was my typo...
