ethernet cable?

<p>i got a thing in the mail about bringing a computer, and they said to bring a 25 foot ethernet cable. do we really need one that long? mine is 14 ft</p>

<p>Where are you living? For Unit 1/2 that should be fine.</p>

<p>im in unit 1. yea that seems soooooooo long for just using it in the room? the rooms arent even that big</p>

<p>Just bring your 14 foot one and when you get there you can decide personally if you need to buy a longer one or not. I figure you probably won't have to, though.</p>

<p>for most of the dorm room arrangements i've seen, the ethernet jack is located right near the location of the desks - about 5-6 feet at the most. 14 should be plenty if you're in the units.</p>
