Eureka! Why didn't I "discover" these products sooner?!

Yeah. Nothing’s perfect. But they are close. It makes me smile every time I use it. Not kidding.

@privatebanker Do you know what brand you have? I could really use one of these!

I got one of the flat collapsible hoses at Costco and am impressed so far. I use a hose bucket to keep it out of sight. The regular rubber/plastic garden hoses will get stiff as the material oxidizes by air so they are a pita after a couple of years of use. We had one good hose that lasted seven years and was still good but we left it at House1. Should have taken it!

@my-3-sons Sorry. I just grab the one off the shelf at CVS. It might be in the “as seen on tv” aisle

Perfect Hose Deluxe. Make sure you get one with brass fittings.

My problem with the shrink hose is we were taking it from the back side of the house to the side and front. When turned off, it doesn’t shrink to sweetly lay in the garden or by the downspout, for the next use. Nor coil itself. It just shrinks. If I want to use it again, I have to go to the backyard and fetch it, like any other hose.

Now, after they fix my front faucet, it may be fine (assuming that as it shrinks, it doesn’t demolish my flowers.)

The equivlent of wireless water would be great, lol. No tethering needed. (Yeah, right.)

I had T diverter valve installed under the kitchen sink just specifically so I can hook up a 25ft shrink hose to wash down my balcony at our city apartment. It fits inside a small plastic grocery bag (yes it is still legal in NYC)under the kitchen sink when not in use. I have to make sure to empty all the water by closing the valve and squeezing the sprayer. The one I bought has brass fittings and is really light-weight.
I just have regular hoses at my house.

Just got an air dryer on sale and like it. Crispy things come out tender inside, its quicker than baking and next to no oil.

“I know we talked the microwave “egg thingie” to death. I bought one, had unreliable results overall and eventually dropped it and broke it. As it happens, ods bought his dad a Dash countertop one for Christmas and this thing is seriously fantastic. Highly recommend it for boiled eggs.”

I keep mentioning this tiny little appliance that is WONDERFUL… Now I have back up…really folks, get on board!

Just bought a 6 egg Dash. Looks and feels like a toy but H and I love it!
H did not like the poached eggs and I did not like the omelette but the hard boiled
are so easy and perfect!

I also bought the 6 egg Dash (in fire engine red LOL) on Prime Day and love it. So easy to make HB eggs and they peel like a dream, even fresh Eggland eggs.

Big problems with my autocorrect .
Air fryer, not dryer.

I really like good coffee. It gives me great pleasure every morning (and afternoon).

At the risk of sounding elitist, I like espresso and lattes and my wife likes cappuccino. For years, I have had Saeco and Gaggia “super-automatic” coffee makers that grind the beans, put the grounds in a brew unit, force very hot water through the grounds (with lots of nuance), and also have a steam wand that can be used to steam/froth milk lattes or cappuccinos. The less expensive ones last 2-4 years so I took to buying them refurbished with a credit card that gives me one and now two years of additional warranty. (The expensive ones last longer but you need to get them cleaned/refurbished every 3 years at approximately the cost of a refurbished machine). Amex Platinum has bought me a couple of replacement machines. Recently, I could see a machine that I’d had for over 3 years was going and so I bought a Saeco HD8911/48. The espresso it makes is fantastic – almost sweet.

A couple of months earlier, my wife’s mother bought here a Breville milk frother. Also very convenient when frothing milk for a number of people – somehow people always want coffee when they come over to our house.

Very happy with both products.

I got the Dash, too! My cockatiels love hard-boiled eggs, so it will get a lot of use.

They should just market it as the CC Dash. ~:>

Last year the Dash was a Black Friday item, I think at Macy’s. I’m planning on cleaning them out this year.

@shawbridge I’m not a coffee drinker but my espresso loving family all swear by the classic Italian Moka Pots that cost like $20. Low tech but they work.

@doschicos, they work pretty well. You have to be awake when making espresso that way – easy to burn if I am not awake or am multi-tasking (I am in one or both of those states about 80-90% of the time).

When I first traveled to Italy as a young professor, I was amazed by the quality of the coffee in the not so expensive pensions we stayed in. One proprietor brought me into her kitchen to show me that she made such good coffee because she used the right size Mika pot and had sizes reading from one cup to 21 chips, I think.

Dazzle dry manicures. Seriously life changing…well nail life changing. It wears almost like a no-chip but goes on and off like regular nail polish. Plus it’s hard as a rock dry in 5 minutes! You can the product online but it’s very expensive for nail polish and I wouldn’t do that until I tried it in a nail salon first.
