Bumping this for gift time!!
Thanks for bumping this up!!!
Therapy stainless cleaner. A league of its own. B-) Not a sexy looking gift, but holy JPMorgan it is so good. I am giving it to my friend who just got a kitchenfull of stainless!
For Thanksgiving Black Friday I bought a toaster oven (Breville) amongst many things. My first experiment was to reheat turkey leftovers and cook a 12” pizza. My god, I’ve never had pizza cooked at home so good before. (Ok, I admit, my oven is basically where I store pots and pans and is never used). Same with the turkey. To think that I’ve been spending 35+ years pretty much using a microwave for reheating.
Ok, so this is no revelation to most of you but it was for me.
I absolutely LOVE my Breville toaster oven. One of the best things I’ve ever bought.
I have this silly thing in both of my cars. https://www.amazon.com/Drop-Stop-Original-Patented-Filler/dp/B00BYH6C1E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1543182184&sr=8-3&keywords=drop+stop
Now I don’t drop stuff in my car where it’s been lost. I’m not even sure why I bought the first one but it is very handy.
I bought the Dash Egg Cooker- 6 eggs today on Amazon Cyber Monday (even though today is Thursday) for $14.99!
The dash is great. And as it is a gadget H loves to use it!
Ohh… I need to get one!! Mr. insists on eggs every morning. It would be a good thing to take on vacation with us.
Got an Instant Pot on Black Friday for $60. Now I need to find the thread with all the recipes. DH, who likes to cook, seems a little intimidated until I cook something first.
Here you go! http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/1848269-instant-pot-pressure-cooker-tips-recipes-p1.html
Love the Dash egg cooker. I cook several eggs at a time and give one to my cockatiels.
Got the Dash egg cooker on Prime Day and love it for hard boiled. DH recently tried poaching eggs in it and is very satisfied.
I bought three Dash egg cookers on Black Friday from Amazon. I sent one to my D and her fiancé is loving it. He tossed the microwave egg cooker into the giveaway pile. I’ve used mine twice it’s nice to make 6. Older D will get the third one for Hannukah.
I sent the Dash to my daughter. She complained today that she opened it because she didn’t know what it was (her birthday is the 14th and I signed the card 'happy birthday). There will be a lot of complaining that she doesn’t need it and didn’t really want it (she’s a minimalist) but I think she will really like it. I may need to get another one for here.
Just back from the annual family tamale making. OMG why did we not try using masa spreaders before?! They work great and it saved us so much time which was important because we raced a snowstorm home. tamale spreader dot com for those who are interested. I just ordered more to give as gifts.
Snowball, i Hs to look up masa, then watched the u-tube. All new info for me
Snowball, I watched that video and learned something new. Never heard of a masa spreader or making tamales. It looks like a spackle tool I have. Now I’ll have to look up how to make the rest of the tamale. Love learning something new.
Do like my airfryer so much. Cooks a frozen steak in a jiffy- and tender. The sweet potato fries (I wasnt a fan before) were perfect. I mention this because I think that big hunk is going to be why I don’t get an instapot. I keep looking at sale prices but have a crockpot that still works, albeit slower than the IP.
What airfryer do you have, @lookingforward?
@doschicos Chefman 3.5L analog. Can’t get a link.
Not one of the fancy models. But a lot simpler than baking or broiling. Basically. A mini convection oven.
