Interested in more experiences with air fryers for sure.
I understand they were a hot holiday purchase.
eta: no pun intended.
Our two best purchases this year have been dog-related. One is a black seatcover from Amazon $36 to protect the dogs from flying and the dog hair from sticking. The other was a small outside smell-proof garbage can for the used poop bags bc putting it in the regular garbage stinks! Behrens $16 also on Amazon.
Crock pot liners. Yea I know they are wasteful. But to have virtually no clean up on something that was hard to clean is amazing
Since D has been home from college, the air fryer is getting a lot more use. It is much better for re-heating pizza and for making fries, but she made us a terrific garlic / cheese bread the other night in about 6 minutes, and we don’t have to heat up the entire oven.
I’m on very low salt diet, no more prepackaged microwave popcorn for me:-( but I just discover the Lékué Popcorn Maker, https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/l-ku-popcorn-maker/1043744480
It’s perfect! Makes great popcorn easy to clean and collapses to store (I’m a BBB member so no minimum shipping and an automatic 20% the order without needing a coupon) and buying kernels is much cheaper than the prepackaged stuff.
I going to give a bunch of these for Christmas gifts along with a jar of Orville Redenbacher popcorn kernels this year!
For anyone interested in the popcorn maker @3scoutsmom mentioned, if you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get it on Amazon as well for similar price (I’m not a BBB Member). Thanks for that recommendation as my microwave popper is in need of replacement! Plus I love that it is collapsible as mine is not so takes up a lot of room.
@4kids4us it’s actually cheaper on Amazon w/Prime! Thank You! I always struggle to find those under $20 gifts that will actually be used. At this price you can add popcorn and maybe some seasoning too and still be under $20!
While I was poking around Amazon I saw that Lekue has a cheese maker kit that was well reviewed and on sale. The kit includes a recipe booklet and the one that it is just the cheese maker doesn’t but the “sale” makes them the same price so it’s really not much of a sale. For $30 I’m willing to give it a try! I’m currently under the care of dietitian (among other doctors) and she big on not only seriously limiting my salt intake but all preservatives and other additives as much as possible. If this really works as people say it does, this will be perfect for me!

Bonus, when I ordered it, Amazon gave me the option of “no rush shipping” in exchange for $8 credit in the Amazon Pantry:-)
Two new discoveries that have me hooked.
78 Red All Natural Ketchup - random discovery at a restaurant. Sweet and flavorful. There is a spicy version that’s good too.
Stonewall Kitchen Cilantro Lime Aioli - curious so tried it- found at Home Goods. I’m a huge cilantro/lime lover. Great for adding a quick burst of flavor to a sandwich or with fries.
Jetz-Scrubz Scrubber Sponges. We finally have a kitchen sponge that doesn’t smell or get yucky.
I found a product on Amazon that is exactly what I was looking for and I didn’t even know it existed. My jeans fit great right out of the dryer but the waistband stretches with every passing hour. I have tried sewing elastic into the waistband but it’s not really possible to get them tight enough with just elastic. I don’t like wearing a belt because the last thing I need is buckle adding to the circumference of my waist. So I searched Amazon for a low profile elastic belt and discovered that some genius has invented the buckle-free belt! https://smile.amazon.com/Buckle-Stretch-Elastic-Invisible-WHIPPY/dp/B07KXFTL78/ref=sr_1_9?crid=2H5GXJ5IUZM5G&keywords=buckle+free+adjustable+belt&qid=1559833671&s=gateway&sprefix=Buckle+free%2Cdigital-text%2C162&sr=8-9
This thing works.
Nice! But it still has a small metal ring for size adjustment.
I got this one in Colorado last summer (at least it looks the same) with some jeans I was buying that I could tell were just a hair big in the waist. I like it. The clasp is completely flat. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07N3T9JTX/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07N3T9JTX&pd_rd_w=sKgWX&pf_rd_p=8a8f3917-7900-4ce8-ad90-adf0d53c0985&pd_rd_wg=G0dTY&pf_rd_r=FK1S0DNS5M2A71SD37E9&pd_rd_r=a9211716-8875-11e9-a5d0-fb30146f0975
Athletic Brewing Company, specializing in non-alcoholic brews.

I’m thrilled to find a NA beer that doesn’t taste awful.
I buy the Run Wild IPA and All Out Coffee Stout (I didn’t care for the Upside Dawn Golden Ale).
It’s NOT as great tasting as real beer, but it IS beer-enough to scratch my itch.
Great for post-hiking. Great at night after a long day when you don’t want alcohol disrupting your sleep cycle.
Thanks for sharing this. I’ve rejected a number of pairs of pants because of this issue. I hate a buckle (and not just for the time it takes to use the restroom when I’m traveling, but that too). I favor the over the waistband shirt look so this should be great.
Thans for the belt tip. That might be perfect for my dad. Worth trying out.
I have one of those belts! It worked great but kept falling apart. I probably didn’t secure the part where you make the belt bigger or smaller so I’m sure it was user error. I need to get it out again and try
I have the one that @Wellspring has. I like that you don’t have to buckle and unbuckle every time you use the restroom. I might order the one that @MomofWildChild has and compare
@Midwest67 Heineken now has a non alcohol beer. Have a bottle but haven’t tried it yet. Personally, i like Clausthaler (Germany.) To me, it tastes like German beer.
Whole Foods has mixed berry financiers in the croissant/muffin case. They are dangerously delicious.
@MomofWildChild , I have that belt on right now! I use it all the time.
