Has anyone tried this pineapple corer? A friend was raving about it. So inexpensive hard to believe it works!

@abasket , we have that one (or one that looks identical, but I think it’s that one), and it works very well.
We were introduced to one like it in Hawaii and brought one home with us years ago. We have replaced it once. Similar but not exactly like that one.
I have one similar looking, too. Got it at a grocery store in HI a few years ago. Surprised that it worked! We don’t use it often because the pineapples sold here are mostly from Costa Rica and are usually not as good as HI-grown ones.
I found that a water blade is very useful when drying your car and speeds up the drying process. Wish I had known about it sooner!
I’ve never heard of a water blade. What is it, where do you get one, and how do you use it?
@psychmomma I’ll link it below. Instead of drying all the water droplets on your car with a towel back and forth, the water blade will basically pick up the water with it’s blade and drag it off of the car. It’s kind of hard to explain. I suggest watching a video on YouTube.

It’s a squeegee with a fancy new name.
I think this has been mentioned before, but Style Edit has kept me from looking really bad the last couple of weeks. It’s a powder you use to cover gray. I had a growth (non-cancerous - yeah!) that had to be removed from my hairline, and I was already due for coloring. The doc said I really shouldn’t color my hair until the spot was healed. I just rubbed Style Edit in my part and around my face, and I looked presentable.
I’ve used Style edit to stretch out the time between root touch ups!
Jym626 and 1214mom, do you use Style Edit Root Touch Up or Root Concealer? Thanks!
I use John Freida Root Blur Color Blending Concealer between coloring. It’s a powder with two shades you blend before applying - helps me come close to my brunette shade.
I love the OXO jar opener! Since I got it, I’ve not had any trouble opening jars of all sizes.
I am loving the bottle of generic micellar water I bought to clean my face with. It cleans all the crap off my face – dirt, sweat, sunscreen, makeup – without leaving it dry and stiff. Which is saying something since I have dry skin and live in a very dry semi-desert climate. Last night I even skipped moisturizer after washing my face. A first. The generic grocery store brand micellar water cost $5. The name brands start at $8. Very happy with this new product.
What is “micellar water”? Water molecules can’t assemble into micelles in water. Is it really water that has some sort of a surfactant additive?
It’s water with a non-foaming detergent added.
That makes sense. At just above a certain concentration, the surfactant molecules will assemble into micelles. But the name “micellar water” sounds plain wrong. Given the fact that beauty products industry likes to sell snake oils, it would not be surprising that it was just plain water that the makers claimed had “altered molecular structure.” (Been there, seen that). ?
It it marketing genius.
@mompop, it’s the root touch up. It’s very easy to use, and does a decent job camouflaging gray roots.
@BunsenBurner French women have been using it for ever. It’s only in the past few years micellar water has been readily available here.
