ever had anything lost/stolen?

janetlove I gathered that from post #10; That's why I mentioned it. I'm pretty upset because I warned him not to take it to school; where I come from someone would hurt you pretty bad for you sneakers. I'm glad there was no violence. Anyway, he paid for 1/2; the other 1/2 was a birthday gift.

On a Spain group trip, my brother and his friend both lost digital cameras, and another one got picked on the subway.

European pickpockets are nasty. Especially in Madrid and southern Italy (never been there but it always looks scary on TV).

Never seen a carjacking, honestly surprised it doesn't happen more. I know lots of people who have had iPods, cell phones, game boys, etc. stolen, since they are REAL easy targets at school when unattended.

I had an ipod stolen this year :(

I've had 2 iPods and my TI-89 stolen. Oddly I was more depressed about the calculator.

toshimelonhead: i actually went to spain for a little while last year and no one in my group had anything stolen. my teacher however had plenty of stories of how she has gotten ripped off in spain.

mmm let's see
my wallet (which was coach by the way, had an ID card that costs more than 35 dollars, a transportation card, and a meal card system we use so they had access to all my lunch money until I made a new one ASAP. money too, but as crucial as it is to lose it, it's nothing like something you treasure), iPod video (u2 as well), a PE shirt, two TI-84's, one TI-83, a pencil case, countless meal cards, and a notebook (thank god I never wrote anything personal there)
But most people have lost things like these. Some have lost their cell phones, or their 1st gen iPod Nano's (I'm so glad I didn't lose THAT =]]), or other things like that. Aside from the calculators and the wallet, I'm pretty well-off. Other people have had curses written on their stuff, when they found them in the trash or something.

Personally, I think the richer you are the easier it is to get messed up =/

4 days ago, someone stole my binder (giant one with all my work from all classes) when i was in the library during lunch.

........why?.........

jcsmooth - I have lost my TI-89 (Titanium) as well. I don't blame you for missing it more. LOL

I've never had anything stolen, but much of my stuff has a magical ability to walk away and disappear forever.

Wait, never mind; someone stole a few of my pencils and a glue stick once. I didn't care.

People get things stolen from my school all the time. PSPs, IPods, and cell phones are the top three.

I recently lost a Crimson Nintendo DS with a R4DS chip bundled with a Kingston 2G Micro SD. Worth about 200 dollars. I still haven't told my parents. They'd be mad even though I bought it with my own money. I'm mad at myself. I only had it for like three months.

When I was in China, I had my Samsung phone stolen (from my bag, where I kept it turned off because I couldn't use it anyway). My dad said that my cellphone had "gone back home", haha.

On the other hand, I have left my purse in classes or the hallway, and each time my stuff was waiting for me at the main office, with nothing missing (the lady who works at the office knows my name now). Meanwhile, one of my friends left his backpack in the school hallway, and when he got it back there was 100 dollars missing.

Yeah, I think Ipods are always a popular choice for theft. People kill each other for Ipods? It's really sad. Maybe in the future, Ipods will become our currency...(just kidding :D)

Someone stole my saxophone neckstrap out of my case last year. Weird thing to steal, I know.

I've gotten the wheels stolen off my bike. Twice.
Granted, in both cases I'd abandoned it for > 1 month.

my spanish book got stolen...twice. they are 65$ a piece.

although the second time, it was found so they refunded my money.

i just got my phone stolen 6 hours ago and i dont know what to do

I can't find my TI-84 (failed two pop quizzes already as a result =) or my Under Armour leggings. Playing lacrosse in the snow yesterday was NOT fun as a result.

you guys really make me feel better about my stolen item. i feel really bad because i could have just told my mother today and she would have bought me a new zune but i decided to buy some $100 shoes instead. is it weird that i dont want a new one but my old one back instead?

supersenior17: oh god i know exactly how you feel. i was out of town for a 5 week summer program and about 3 1/2 weeks into it i lost my cell phone. not only was i without a phone but i was away from home. i felt so empty on the inside.

novalord2: i have never quite understood why people would steal text books

kickme_cuzimcool: i love your name!

Gryffon5147: maybe you should tell them and they will feel bad enough to buy you a new one

my ipod nano and strawberry chocolate cell phone

taken from my purse - saddest moment of my life? :'(
