Every Reason To Love The College Of Natural Resources!

I was recently accepted as a Microbial Biology major at CNR and I was hoping that some current students, or anyone that is knowledgable about the college, could share their experiences at CNR... the good and the bad. I am not necessarily interested only in other MB majors' accounts, but as a CNR student how are the class sizes? Do you feel like you get the personal attention you need? If you are considering med school after graduation, do you feel that you are able to gear your course combinations towards preparing for med school? (put another way, are the CNR majors heavily focused on environmental topics or medical issues?) How are the student resources for undergrad research, internships, volunteer, etc.? Most importantly, what do you love most about the college?

Just to let you know about myself, I am currently trying to decide between MB at Cal and MIMG at UCLA. I have wanted to go the Cal forever, but I recently have found myself leaning more towards UCLA; the main reason being that I feel like I will have greater access to off-campus opportunities in health science internships, volunteer work, etc... But I am relatively naive to the opportunities that would be available to me as an MB major because I'm from SoCal and Berkeley and the Bay area are foreign to me. So, I would really appreciate your responses... Convince me that CNR at Cal is the right place for me!

i cant help too much but all i know is CNR is super selective and near impossible for transfers to get into… so that in itself is a huge accomplishment! congratulations …getting a BS from Cal is amazing!
