ENG 105/106 are listed as general requirements in the Academic Bulletin for the School of Communication. However, the bulletin states that an appropriate score on the SAT or ACT verbal examination may earn a student exemption from, but not credit in, ENG 105. Does anyone know what the score on the SAT or ACT would need to be? Thanks.

700 SAT, 32 ACT or 5 AP.

Thank you for the fast response!

I got a 700 on the English Lit SAT Subject test. Does that count for anything? Can I be exempt from the class?

if i got a 34 on the english ACT am i still only exempt from 105?

Only 105, and I’m not sure about the lit exam. Here’s everything I know: [College of Arts and Sciences](<a href=“Advising | College of Arts and Sciences”>Advising | College of Arts and Sciences)
