Are sneakers (perhaps Converse Chucks or Sperrys...not running sneakers) permissible under Exeter's dress code for girls?

Or just loafers and flats and whatnot?

Are sneakers (perhaps Converse Chucks or Sperrys...not running sneakers) permissible under Exeter's dress code for girls?

Or just loafers and flats and whatnot?

yep, sneakers are allowed, flip flops are allowed....basically everything is allowed :)

Sweeet.. oh good, I don't know what I would do if I had to wear loafers every day.

Are t-shirts and jeans strictly prohibited? What if the jeans are in a trouser cut?

I live in flip flops year round, too...

Jeans are allowed, as long as they're not too frayed or ripped (at least that's what it says in the e-book).

Exeter has a dress code in name only.

For girls, maybe.

Jeans! Sweet.. I don't know how long I would last in khakis every day.

Yeah, guys are the one who are actually impacted by it, it seems. I guess girls can wear anything other than hooker-wear.

was the dress code recently revised? it always seemed way less strict for girls.

dress in anything that's already socially acceptable [like no going barefoot]

but BRING boots!! lol don't underestimate new england weather

Damn, so I'll have to give up some of my hippy habits, then?

Other than the tie and shirt for the boys almost anything goes, I love seeing the "fashion" the boys come up with!! ( my son included ).... the wrinkled ties and short-sleeve plaid shirts paired up with the cargo shorts and sandals!
As for the girls, I really don't think there is much of a dress code. Some of the teachers are a little more strict than others, for instance, my son had a couple of teachers who would not allow anybody to wear hoodie sweatshirts in class.
But, overall, we had a lot of fun with the dress code, we were always finding great ties that my son loved to wear, and now that he is off to college, he will be passing them down ( most of them wrinkled and stained ) to his younger brother who will be attending PEA in the fall.

I rest my case.

WADR, sounds like a mess.
