Can anyone who went two either explain what the atmosphere is like? In terms of people's attitudes, the way Emory undergrads feel about Oxford undergrads etc.? Also how would you describe the amenities? etc.

I'm not a student at either, but since you're not getting any responses I figured I'd throw in my bit of knowledge. I know that at least some Emory students view Oxford transfers as weird/eccentric and as not as qualified to be at the main campus. These students see Oxford as an Emory reject school. I'm really not sure how widespread that sentiment is, but I've heard it from more than a few current students. On the other hand, many defend Oxford by saying it was more rigorous than main campus and that some choose Oxford over Emory, despite being accepted at both. Some people say they loved the intimate setting, others say it ended up being like high school all over again. I think it all depends on who you're asking.

Also, from being on both campuses a few times, amenities at Emory seem to be more plentiful because of size.

Oxford is not the Emory rejects. Our child applied to Oxford because of the small school setting and small class sizes. Will go to Emory for junior year. There is not a lot to do around Oxford so you might want to take that into consideration. You will want a car because many students leave the campus on the weekend as many live in surrouding areas of Georgia. Oxford states there are school clubs but since they are run by the students it is only "half ass" or so it seems. Visit Oxford during the school year and stay the night if you are able. Oxford is costly.
