do we need to? or it is better we explain for each W we get
on the additional comments we want to let them know.

thanks everyone

just one, i will just ignore it.

but I have 4 W’s do is it better i explain it?

^ is they are all listed in one or two semesters then yes. If not, no.

i have 2 W in this fall2011 and a pass/nopass for math…
and i have no other class anymore
so it is better i explain a little bit?

As the W’s are for this semester (or quarter), it is ESSENTIAL that you address them. If you don’t, you are just about guaranteed not to be accepted into the UC system (this is because of how late in the game they have occurred). Don’t try to make up excuses. Accept responsibility for them and explain how you’ve overcome the obstacle(s) that made you withdraw in the first place. Also, is the P/NP for math in a required course?

=( thanks calbear
the math is precal…
but it is transferable, and not pre-req until the level of Calculus.

also i get UCD tag approved,
is it i finish all the class i list and maintain the gpa,
then should be fine?

If the courses you got Ws in were prerequisites for your major and listed as in progress on your TAG application I do not think you will be fine without a good explanation. If the Math class you are taking is the only Math class you have taken that is transferrable you definitely will not be fine taking it P/NP.

yes, i have list as in progress, but now I cannot update my tag or give any explainion
except i only can explain it on my UC app…
But I am going to take it again in winter quarter, is it fine?

If you’re that worried just explain it. We can’t say the impact it would have in your application but generally the UC’s overlook all W’s.
