Lol that's sooo awesome...

For AP Physics/AP Chem we can get up to 100 extra credit points a quarter, ut they only help if you are somewhat near a full grade. Like, to get an A, you need 100 bonus points and an 88%. For a B, you need a 76%. And so on...

You can go to Saturday tutoring, in school tutoring, do science articles, watch a science TV show, and bonus point quizzes.

some give none, some give a few.

we once had an extra credit hw for chem, but that's it. it was only worth ten points anyway :/

My AP Physics C teacher gives a bunch of extra credit. I mean, we still have to work for it, but in the end, it's not like the work is going to hurt you at all.

And my German 2 teacher gives extra credit...but I will never need extra credit in that class haha

Most of the teachers at my school don't give extra credit, mainly because the principal doesn't like it. Usually the only way you can get extra credit is either by a curve on a test or sometimes like in my AP government class, there will be a question on a test/quiz that has some sort of error in it and if you get it right, you get credit for it which equals extra credit.

damn that sucks

I know. Most of my teachers don't give extra credit, except for my AP USH teacher who sometimes gives extra credit to people who win review jeopardy or something like that.

My math teacher makes every effort to lower our grades in the form of pop quizzes, extremely intense scrutiny of homework (I'm a firm believer in effort too-I believe in giving credit for effort) and ridiculously hard tests. I think he's bitter about something and is taking it out on us. I mean what the hell have I ever done to him?

my AP US and AP Chem teachers give a ton of extra credit per quarter..so that even kids who get like D's and F's on ALL of the tests and quizzes, somehow manage to get As and Bs...its really inflated..but then they take the AP exams and get like 2s and 1s and its a reality check

my ap ush teacher once let us use the book for 5 minute and said 'that is the curve'

hahaha amnesia thats great

yeah our AP US teacher's curves are like 14% and insane..once it was like 24%..they are also inconsistent..i got a 34/50 and still managed to get an 82% on the test (do the math) im not complaining tho
