Hey there!

I applied ED today. I would like to submit my first quarter report card, because I think it really completes my upward trend, but they are not released until 11/15. I plan to overnight-mail it and it should arrive on 11/16. Will it still be considered, or will my application be closed by then? Or will it be added to my file and reviewed again?
Thanks! :)

The best advice would be to either fax or email your first-quarter grades to your regional dean as soon as they become available (fax is 757-221-1242). That way, even if your file has gone through the review process, the regional dean can take another look when adding your first-quarter grades to your application file.

Ok, thank you! May I self-report my class rank and GPA? Although these things will change after first quarter report cards are released, class rank and GPA will not appear on the document itself.

If your school does not readjust class rank or GPA after a quarter than we will not adjust it either so there likely isn’t a need to self-report your GPA and class rank. Normally schools only adjust such things after a semester or academic year.

OK, thank you! They do adjust rank and GPA after a quarter, but they don’t appear on the report cards- only transcripts and mid-year reports. Thanks again!

You could then if you wish ask your counselor to attach a cover to the first quarter grade report noting any change in GPA and/or rank

Good luck
