<p>Hi i am currently a sophomore at a very competitive high school known for its science and the arts. It is a vocational high school meaning you have a major even while you are in high school. I am a business major because there is nothing revolving around my interests. It is a great school education wise, but unfortunately it is lacking extracurricular wise in my area of tastes. I am interested in political science, government, international relations, art history, anthropology, politics, photography, creative writing, screenwriting, and journalism. I have been searching for volunteer opportunities in my area. However, everything i found requires that you are are 16 years old, and unfortunately I am 15 years old until the summer. So my question is, do you know of any after school courses or volunteer opportunities in the Manhattan or Jersey area?? I am already taking guitar lessons but I feel this is not enough. My school also does not have sports due to lack of budgeting. Thank you in advance! Any tips would help me out greatly and are much appreciated.</p>
