Extremely worried =/

Okay, I guess I'll put my stats up so you guys can put this situation in context:

GPA: 3.83
SAT I: 2050
SAT II: 720 Math II, 620 Chem, 580 French
ECs: Theater since 10th grade, in 5 plays, lead role this year. Pit orchestra for two musicals (I play xylophone, timpani, general percussion instruments), President of diversity club, communication committee, and gsa, represented school at a student diversity leadership conference and a conference at columbia (SAAHLS), Tutor in physics and chem, Volunteer at retirement home and my Islamic school, went on an exchange program to France, I play guitar, write for my school newspaper and literary page...there are more that I can't think of, probs not as important though.

I'm half Pakistani, half white (also Native American!). My essay was about trying to incorporate my mom's and dad's heritage/being muslim.

I was just waitlisted at GW...and that's really discouraging. (I've been accepted at Lehigh and Bucknell though!)
I'm not asking for chances at all...but has anyone ever heard for someone being waitlisted from GW and accepted to Georgetown? I'm just kind of down about the whole situation, cause I thought I had SOMEWHAT of a shot at Georgetown. Now I don't know.

So...thoughts?

I dont know if thisll make you feel better, but i know someone rejected from Gtown, GWU, and Tuffts, but got into Cornell! its all individual/personality match if you have the grades

I did apply to Cornell as well, so yeah that does make me feel better =) I guess I’ll just have to wait and see!

i’m worried too. i’ve gotten into dickinson with the biggest merit scholarships they offer, but have been waitlisted by haverford, making me REALLY nervous for georgetown. my stats: (quick)
3.84 GPA
2220 SAT I
740 Lit 700 Math 1 720 Spanish
tons of extra curriculars, don’t really feel like listing them here… what do you think? does being waitlisted at haverford mean bad news do you think?

ritatheron–

I’m not sure what your W/L at Haverford bodes for G’town. But, Haverford is extraordinarily selective. In fact, US News ranks it as the 2nd most selective LAC on admissions criteria. It is among the very best colleges in the country and among the very hardest schools to get admitted into. Good luck.

@pintoforder
thanks; i guess now all thats left to do is wait…

^ omg I think we’re all extremely worried and will just have to wait :/

Relax relax relax!!!
