Eye Vision

Yes, sigh.....

My vision has deteriorated.... I was ranged in the two's, and now my sight is ranged in the four's, according to my ophthalmologist. I loathe waves' from computers, television, microwaves, Mp3, etc. From now, I will be consuming salad bar's for school lunch, with the austere, dull milk. abviaiuewhafuigrgvigvuwihoiwefjklnch, rant terminated....

Lol, I'm in the 4s too. I always swore my eyes wouldn't be worse than my father's but nonetheless, it happened :[.

I knew it was bad when they didn't have my prescription to try on contacts in the store :[ lol.

WOW, really? Thats odd. My vision is actually worse than my father's..

Yeah, it sucks. Especially being so young. We'll be legally blind w/o glasses and contacts by the age of 25 lol.

I'm actually in the fives right now, and I know some people in the sixes and sevens.

im in the fours
i stare waay too much at the computer

Sorry if I sound stupid, but what numbers are you referring to? On my prescription there are lots of different numbers.

^^^
Yeah, I know...I've never had glasses/contacts. I actually have 15-15 vision, so I have no need for glasses.

God I'm blind. Somehow, due to the inefficiency of school nurses, the first time I got glasses was 6th grade-and the doctor said it was the "one of the worst he had seen without glasses". my notes from before my glasses made no sense b/c I would just copy random words down---luckily it did get me in focus to listen to teachers more than copy (good skill, I guess).

Also, my vision got like much worse in the last month, I hope they have contacts for me when I go next month!

I use my old glasses to improve my vision (cause i broke my new ones) =O It works!

First got glasses in 1st grade w/ a -1/2. Flash forward 12 years to see me with ultra-thin lenses thicker than most people's normal glasses. I'm rapidly approaching -10 (now at -9.5) :(

i have horrible vision too.... except for some reason i hate contacts so i just wear my glasses

To the people with higher than a -6.00 is it hard to find contacts?

Back when I wore contacts (feels old) they weren't hard to find. They were quite uncomfortable, though...

have any of you guys considered laser eye surgery? i think i want to get it when i get older.

I have one eye that is fine(19)and the other eye is "50+"...forgot actual value In elementary school the guys doing the exams would think I was joking when I would tell them to forget it I cannot read anything on that.

I am fine without glasses thought I get tired faster. One thing that is really inconvenient is that I think I have very little depth perception without them. Of course, you don't want to wear glasses playing football but man catching can get tricky.

^^ to me, its scary
i mean, ur conscious the whole time
and u see it happening
my teacher had it and she said they numb ur eyes with eye drops, cut slits in ur eyes, and then a laser gets sent through and ur temporarily blinded
yikes

i think you can be sedated if you want to be. but its such a minor surgery that most people dont choose sedation.

my sister did it, and she is sooo glad that she did. she was legally blind before, but she has perfect vision now.

Umm.. I'm in the 6-7s, LOL. I blame it on bad genes :( Rents want me to get LASIK, but I'd rather pop in contacts every morning, which only takes a second anyway and is practically second nature to me, than risk going blind or something similarly terrifying.

With laser eye surgery do they hold your head still? I mean when they're going in to cut your frickin eye, I donno about anybody else, but I would at least flinch... a lot.
