Hi,
I was wondering if it is absolutely necessary to turn in the tax transcript in order to CMU to send me an official financial aid offer in the mail. I cannot get the IRS link to work, and I found out just TODAY that my CPA made a HUGE mistake on our family's 2012 tax return. We will get that fixed tomorrow, but most likely, it will take over 3 weeks for the new tax transcript to be available, and for it to be mailed to my house. Now, I cannot enroll in CMU without seeing my official financial aid offer first, because I can't afford to pay over 20k a year. I'm thinking that by the time I get all the documents submitted, it will already be the deadline to submit deposits.

So my question is - is there a way I can get the official financial aid offer without turning in the IRS tax transcript? And is there an alternate way I can submit the tax transcripts other than to link it from fafsa, perhaps by fax?
Thanks
