As title, can I apply for FAFSA if I'm a US citizen but living abroad?? Anyone here in the same situation as me?

Yes, if you are a citizen, you can apply. We lived in Germany the past three years, and applied each year. If you still pay US taxes, you should have a W-2. If you don't pay US taxes, I'm not sure how it works.

Our FAFSA doesn't make any sense, though, because my H's company paid a lot of things associated with our delegation that ended up being counted as income. And FAFSA doesn't have any way of allowing for that fact, so it looks like we make twice as much as we really do. So we're thigh high in appeals right now.

Yes, we live overseas and we filed the FAFSA. We do not receive W-2s since wages are foreign income, but file a US tax return and use this to fill out the FAFSA.

thank you guys
