Failing in Junior Year

Ok so…I picked the wrong time to mess up in my Junior year which is close to the end (only a month left). I’ve been really down to the point where I didn’t want to go to school or work and I missed a lot of days and now I have 3 F’s in Algebra 2, World Lit, and History. This is 3rd quarter. So, does that mean I’m screwed for sure and I’ll have to repeat these classes?

How lenient are your teachers with make-up work? I’m guessing that making up the work you said you missed is mostly out of the question. I was in a similar situation freshman year and ended up dropping two classes and retaking them in the summer. You will most likely have to do some sort of repeat, though there might be ways to do it so that it doesn’t take up class spaces your senior year.
I would definitely speak to your teachers about your situation. Emphasize that your lack of participation was due to personal issues, and not just because you didn’t care. Also, take this with a grain of salt, but it’s possible this is a symbol of the onset of depression-- not wanting to go to school and feeling unmotivated all the time was what first warned me about my issue. Getting a proper diagnosis gives you more options in having the school make exceptions.

Good luck! I really feel you. I’m sure you’ll pull through in the end.

Yes, repeat the classes.
Also, go see a counselor: having no motivation to the point you can’t get yourself to class, not wanting to go to school or work, can indicate depression. Get that checked.

Here are tips.

The main thing is communication!! If you are having a personal or health or mental health issue, talk to your parents or Guidance Counselor.

Otherwise, look at the tips above.
