Failing out of college question/ lesson learned

I am failing out of college I have learned my lesson and trying to bounce back. I started my first and second semester at Neumann University and received academic probation. I transferred to my local community college to raise my GPA but still got a 1.8. The office of disablities services said if I dont get at least a 2.0 I fail out of college. What the heck, nobody told me this while I was a Neumann University. Will I actually fail out? Will I keep my FAFSA? Can somebody please answer my question its urgent.

It depends on your college’s policies I think.

For my college, more than 2 semesters of “failing” or lacking in SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress, IE withdrawing / failing more than 30% of your courses) will make you ineligible for aid.

You can raise yourself above that mark by passing all of your courses until you’ve reached a 70% completion rate with a GPA above 2.0 (at my CC).

I would think on WHY you are failing. And fix it.

And yes, you can fail out of CC, as well as Uni. It’s generally in the handbook/somewhere on the website / implied information. You can re-apply at a later date for admission, or appeal.
