Fall 2011 Admission Decisions

I just called fedx and gave them my address and there were absolutely no shipments going my way :(

I like your thinking @Baxter!

I cannot call 1.800 numbers from Peru. Any way to see if a package is on its way online? I cannot seem to find any…

Try one of these #'s…you can’t check online

Argentina 011-5411-4630-0300
Brazil/Sao Paulo 0800 703 3339
Venezuela 011-58-212-205-3333

Another day without a rejection or acceptance…the wait continues

Today was the worst though. Got a call from a 212 area code (NYC for the unfamiliar) and got a knock at the door that turned out to be Jehovah Witnesses, not FedEx

Any current GS students hear anything about the EA Fall '11 admission decisions? Any rumblings at all from Lewisohn?

Yikes @Bax. Somebody upstairs has a cruel sense of humor!

Im just going to assume rejection until I see a letter…

That’s about where I am at this point

I’m not sure how current GSers would be able to know when acceptance calls are being made. There’s a big FedEx bin in the main lobby’s vestibule. But, I think there stands a felony between me and prying it open to find out what’s going out.

Take one for the team Hellojan ! I promise to write regularly. Jk.

Good to know that there are packages being sent out to some lucky people this week.

RandomAdmit! Frankly I am shocked at your suggestion of possible defeat! Drop and give me twenty, and then go stand in the corner until you regain your composure.

Which division of fedex are these packages being shipped through? Ground, Air?

I live in Manhattan (Financial District) so I’m kinda assuming ground lol?

Also, does anyone know if the package is sent to your current address or your permanent address within your application?

Are you serious Phillyman? Everyone knows that here in Manhattan they will send a helicopter to your location chop chop, and have a Navy Seal jump out and deliver it to you personally.

Hey @Hellojan, was it a big FULL FedEx bin, or was it EMPTY?

Navy vet here, I can attest to the truth of that statement.

My guess would be that the fact that there was a Fed-Ex bin present, empty, or not, could only mean that the delivery guy was picking up massive amounts of fed-ex boxes to ship out.

There is also the possibility that students were sending fed-ex’s in, but I doubt it would be in a big bin. They have the big bin there because they are shipping out a massive amount of acceptances most likely.

That’s (hopefully) exactly what they’re doing!

I wonder if Hellojan meant a temporary bin or one of those permanent FedEx drop “mailbox” dealies.

But yeah. I totally agrees with you @Random. A big bin means outgoing. Unless a bunch of people sent stuff in, all arriving on the same day, and all via FedEx. Not likely. And rejections go out via snail mail. So we’re going with the outgoing acceptance motherload!
