<p>All I can say is that we shouldn’t be alone when we get a response. We should enforce the buddy system. That way when we faint from either victory or defeat, someone ca fan use and provide first aid assistance.</p>

<p>Pro-tip: reach out to this person straight away. He or she will be your advocate, sounding board, and friend through some inevitably tough academic/personal times ahead. I say it’s inevitable not because of some deficiency on your part. Rather, this is Columbia, and it is designed, in part at least, to test your mettle. Deans understand that and they’re there to help and support from the minute you decide to come here.</p>
