phone call from an unknown number. she left a message that said “hi i am so and so from columbia school of general studies and i actually have some good news for you, call me back at bla bla bla”. when i called her back she said the fed ex thingy should be in on my door by friday.

oh I’m so happy for you!!! Go Liz… See forumers, there is hope…there is hope!!
A toast to Liz everyone
(raising glass*)

I got the “good news” message too. It’s hard not to smile at that line.

@Liz Congrats! Would you mind sharing your stats? Hopefully that means that everyone else will be getting their decisions soon

Makes me kind of nervous lol…maybe they are going in alphabetical order?

ps the financial aid website still does not let me log in.

Liz I’m sure you mentioned this but when did you apply again?

Part I was sent in Feb 22
Part II was in March 1

i have 5 transcripts, all but 1 of them posted on March 15, my high school transcript posted yesterday (the registrar accidentally sent it to Columbia College instead of GS so i had to have her resend it)

Glad somebody else finally heard back, hope that means more decisions are coming

Liz! Liz! Liz! Liz!

Congrats!!! They’re making calls!

Congratulations, Liz!

From reading your posts, it seems like you and Greathal both have the muster and raw material to survive here. Moreover, should you choose to attend, I believe that you have the chops to be successful. Good on you.

Please do let me know if there’s anything I can do to make the move to New York a little smoother. Lastly, welcome!

thanks dudes/ invictvs (the only other non-dude). i feel emotionally wiped out from the last few months!

Haha. I can only hope! Either way I’m very, very happy for you Liz!!! Couldn’t happen for a nicer person. LA represent!

You took the ACT in Feb though right Liz? I’m over a month’s worth of applications down the pile! That’s totally fine. As long as calls are being made, and you guys (and gals) are getting in, I am once again extremely excited!

Hope we all start hearing back soon

@baxter, my stats are funny. I procured a handful of mediocre grades early on in my college career, so my GPA is not as good as I’d like it to be. It hovers around a 3.7 or so (the first school I went to didn’t have grades, just evaluations). it has been a 4.0 since 2008.

I got a 29 on the ACT . my math and science were really average but I got a 36 and a 32 on the Reading and English sections, which I guessed (hoped) is what they cared about… seeing as though the GSAE doesnt even include math (at least that is what i was told).

I think the best part of my app was my essay.

Congrats Liz, well deserved!

Congrads Liz! At least we now know their making calls!

WOW COngratz liz. I can feel your excitement all the way from here!
