Fall 2011 Admission Decisions

I GOT IN!!! Alma Mater almighty, I was accepted!!!

I received an email around 2 pm PST. I am still smiling from ear to ear!!!

I’ll post stats later, but I do want to thank current GSers HelloJan, (by far the most helpful person on here, not to mention patient having to put up with idiots like myself. Dude, I owe you lunch, a drink, and an in-person apology. I would love to take you up on that tour.), MusaeumClausum, BoolaBoola, and GoesToWashington.

Thank you Random, Invict, Johnny, Baxter, Philly, Brohli, Juniper, and most of all Liz for all of the support and funny, extremely random posts. I hope you all decide to matriculate there in the Fall.

For those still waiting, It ain’t over 'til it’s over! I can’t wait to see your happy posts!

Thanks again everyone!

Congratulations JamesinGlendale!

HAHAHA NICE!!! I was actually worried for you,LOL. Congratz!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
THATS WHATS UP!!!

jamesinglendale!!! you kept your head up and look where it got you! way to goooooo!

take your woman out to dinner tonight to celebrate!!!

PS Berkeley’s admission decisions are posted!

James! That’s fantastic news! See, people?!? Decisions are STILL coming out.

You seem like a fun bunch of admits, the whole lot. Would love to have drink with all of you when you make it out here for the Fall.

Welcome to the family, playboy.

James, no need for an apology and all that. If you’re a Columbian, and you say that I helped with that in any way, I couldn’t be happier.

This one’s for you, buddy!

Hey HelloJan, I listen to that song at least once a Day, HAHah, that song actually gives me energy to study harder. Hopefully at the end of the month I can actually “Roar” with you guys :D

Congrats to Random and JamesinGlendale and everyone else that got accepted!!!

When is everyone going to their APS?

Hey guys, I just registered. I’ve been lurking here for a while though.

I’ll be seeing ya’ll in the fall, I just received my package in the mail today!

Wow congrats! Talk about fashionably late.

I wonder how many of us will still be on this forum when fall comes around. It seems that the ones who are accepted tend to just disappear.

Only 159 days until classes start!!

@Random - Hopefully everyone migrates to storybook soon

Yeah, I got everything in on the deadline date, then had to take the GSAE, then had to go in for an interview last week. I don’t know what took so long but at least it’s over with.

Question for those of you who’ve gone through the financial aid meeting, does having savings affect your award at all?

@ Patleeman, as a general rule of thumb, If they dont ask about it, then I wouldnt mention it.

Thanks for the tip,

Do they check 1040s though? I had to list it on my FASFA.

I appreciate the help Random!

They won’t ask for 1040s but the FAFSA, as you’ve reported the details that comprise it, is a key component for putting together your financial aid package.

Since this thread has already gone to hell and back I just like to say that I found a great victory song for those that were accepted, lol.

sooo happy to see more acceptances rolling in. Congrats to James, Jupiter, Patleemean & Random!!!

I’ll be attending the first APS in May… will I see anyone there? Still waiting on my storybook invite…

I emailed regarding storybook and was sent an invite within minutes.
