The ability to log into FA is a good thing?

I applied for CU GS on the deadline date of June 1st and took the GSAE on June 5th at 10am. Last semester I received a GPA of 3.94 under current term GPA, but my overall GPA in the course of my community college years is 3.77. I never took my SATs or ACTs and basically worked since age 14 up until age 22. I only volunteered once in a park recreation with children in 2006. What are my chances of getting accepted? Very slim right? I never received a phone interview or a call saying that I’m accepted like most people on here.

Not everyone gets an interview. People are both accepted and rejected with and without an interview. Having an interview really doesn’t indicate much except that they are somewhat interested and have questions.

Also, GS doesn’t care much about what major (eg Biology) you listed on your application. Most people can and do change their minds several times.

Yes, the ability to login to FA tends to be correlated with acceptance, based on posts here.

Good luck to those still waiting for info!

@kidanimated…i was on the side opposite the windows closest to the door African American heavyish lol… I still have high hopes and yea many have gotten accepted with no interview

Sent from my SCH-R910 using CC

Hm. I was the tall, slim, bald, Asian guy who sat in the center opposite the windows. Were you sitting to the right of me?

How do I check my FA campaigner? By being able to sign in?

If I am able to sign in FAFSA and able to click “VIEW PROCESSED INFORMATION (PDF OR HTML VERSION)”, then that means there is a high chance of acceptance?

I believe the site is <a href=“(Columbia University) Student Log In”>(Columbia University) Student Log In; but I’m not 100% sure.

yeah i cant log on. i guess i know my answer now.

It asks you the Pin and the ID. They didn’t give me any student ID or Pin. Anyone knows?

they give you your student pin and password via email the first day you apply for cu. the student pin and password should be the same when accessing the online application where you submitted your part 1 and 2 of your application process.

I think you got accepted Kidanimated.

I hope I do dunnolol. But I’m prepared for the worst. 3.77 overall GPA with 65 credits to transfer. I honestly don’t think I did to well on the GSAE, the essay part. I just wished they can release the scores just so that we know what we lack or our weak spot concerning qualification.

I just got home and got my rejection letter. I’m going to re-apply with a higher gpa. I have no idea what to do in the meantime though.

i’m sorry to hear dunnolol. you can always try to get in for graduate school. i think i might do that if i get my rejection letter. or i’ll try for nyu. after all, nyu is situated in the heart of the city.

Kidanimated…that is funny I assumed you were the Asian guy…because of your name lol what does that mean?? Yup I was to the right right near the door

Dunnolol…sorry to hear that I was scared to walk into my apt and see a letter as well but still nothing!

lol. animated just means to come alive. not the animation cartoons. i think you got accepted.

lol… honestly i have not seen anyone this week post that they got in i think they have accepted all of their applicants… smh i keep checking my email over and over and trying to log into FA…this is just nerve wrecking… where else did you apply?

i want to apply to nyu, but that’s another 75 dollars. i applied for suny albany, suny buffalo, and also the kings college in nyc. i got accepted into all of those. 3.77 gpa is high for those state and city schools, but i don’t think it is high enough for ivy league or any other prestigious education. what about you?
