I am so nervous that I miss one prerequisite course for engineering. I feel hopeless. Rejection must be on the way…

where can you find out what courses are required for your major?

just some general requirements for engineering. I miss intro to ENGR (C++).

sigh. I am very anxious as well,

I am applying for transfer for junior for political science,
HS gpa (unknown, I am from Hong Kong)Ranking top 5% Toefl 100
College GPA 3.98 (67 college credit in quarter scale)
EC: tutor in WA last year , serve as History club chairperson during High school.

Do you guys think LSA has released the decision?

I don’t think you should be worried that much. You are good!

I talked to my son today (freshman at the College of Engineering at Michigan) and his girlfriend (who currently attends a different college) just found out this morning she was accepted to Michigan LSA. Needless to say, he’s pretty happy and so is she.

So acceptances are still going out. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear!

@Jesse Thanks for the update! I was just about to ask if anyone has heard anything from LSA this week.

@dorapeng Actually I took it again this month, but just got one more point and my S was still 20, so I dared not send the new score I assume you are Chinese?

@wongshei Hi! I’m from your neighboring city! ^ ^

Well… I submitted my application 3/10. Can someone please just be honest and simply tell me if they’ve experienced students in my position to see any success? I know the immediate reaction is that there’s no chance, but please let me know anything constructive. I come from a top 10 university and am transferring as a freshman and am a little desperate for admission to UMich. I humbly say that if submitted on time, I am pretty certain that I would be admitted, for I am transferring genuinely for “all the right reasons” (recent family crisis and I need to study closer to home, being the primary cause) and my “credentials” allowed me to have the opportunity to attend various other top 10 schools. I just want to know more information about my late application submission.
Thank you for any serious consideration.

@hopeforthebest94 haha, yes, are you from Guangzhou? (neighboring city of HK)

Guyguyguy, I know it’s not what you want to hear and I hope that I am wrong for your sake, but I would be extremely surprised if you were admitted with this application. You missed the deadline by more than a month and UM may already have filled their spaces.

I’m sorry that your family is going through a crisis. Even if you aren’t accepted this time, don’t give up! I have heard many stories of students who were accepted on their second or even third attempts. Best wishes to you.

Have there been recent admissions decisions? Have any students received an acceptance in the past week? Anyone have any information about what happens to students who take a semester off?

@dorapeng No, I’m from Shenzhen (literally the neighboring city of HK haha) but I’ve spent one year in Guangzhou before

@guyguyguy Villagemom’s son just received an acceptance last week.

AO just told me they have to see my transcript for this term before they could make any decision because I am still taking a few pre-req courses. OMG, I have to wait until June…

@ajinqu99 what courses are considered as pre-req?

@dorapeng I am applying CoE. I need to finish 2 semesters Physics with lab, Cal 1,2,3 ,differential equation, intro to programming, English composition.

@ajinqu99 where do you get this info? from UM? or from your current college?

Yeah those are the requirements in order to apply.
