Fall 2013 Transfer Thread

Forget one thing, what’s the last date to accept the AD?

Finally got admitted! Received an email this morning, but there’s still no update on wolverine…

@dorapeng, congrats!

Got in this morning

Yay!!! Congratulations, all you newly admitted!!! I’m so happy for you and know how happy (and relieved) you must be feeling!

Just to confirm with everyone else, the way to check status is to login to wolverine access via: http://wolverineaccess.umich.edu

Click “Students” tab at top.
Click on the “New & Prospective Student Business” link.
At the top click the link that says “Application Status”.

In my application data I have a view things that stand out, they may be making the process slower for me. Despite emailing umich engineering numerous times to double check my application.

There is a beige box around “Academic Sub-Plan:” perhaps indicating it needs filled out, because I left it blank.

I am also a Michigan resistant and it states:

“U of M Determined Residency: Pending”

Are many of you Michiganers still pending? I email COE about this before and they didn’t say it was a problem. Hmm?

Is it possible for transfer student who transferred into Liberal Arts to transfer to Ross internally?

I believe you would have to apply for fall 2014. On top of that Ross is a 3 year program regardless of previously earned credits, so you would be looking at a 2017 graduation.

@paroxsitic I checked my application and the academic sub-plan is also blank. I then checked the common app and the major interest section was left blank (pretty sure I filled them out). I sent them an email right away to clarify my major interest.

Anyone else have or had this issue? My academic plan just says LSA Undeclared and Sub-Plan is blank.

Yeah. I also didn’t declare any interest

@Mistasuggs Money is kind of an option. I have enough for undergrad without going into debt, but I want to go to law school after, which is pricey.

@toofast I’m going to be a junior next year. I’ll have 67 units done by this semester at my CC.

@wantonly I submitted my SAT scores to them. I forget if they asked for my sat 2’s (which were awful). If they asked for it, I sent SAT, ACT, and SAT 2’s. I’ve been to Michigan, but I was young and don’t remember. I’ll probably go visit soon.

hey guys, have you heared anyting from LSA? I’m so nervous…

@VillageMom: Thanks for the information. Do you get the housing email once you pay the deposit - is so, have you already paid the deposit? and is any information related to scholarship in the snail mail?

I randomly checked Wolverine Access right now, 3 AM here PST, and I got in!!! Does anyone know where we can see our financial aid package?

Aww, CONGRATS, Toofast!!! From everything that I can gather, financial aid info will be available in a few weeks… mid-April.

MSaadB, yes, we paid the deposit right away. They say that you will receive housing and orientation info after you pay. There was nothing about scholarships in any communications we’ve received. We’re waiting anxiously, but surely not as anxiously as someone out of state or country!

I was accepted to LSA this afternoon… WAHOOO! @VillageMom, I am so glad our instincts were wrong. So for those who applied late, I submitted my application 3/15 after the 2/1 deadline, and I was accepted on 3/27.

Do we really have to make decision before 5.1?

YAY Guyguyguy!!! LOL, I am delighted to hear that my instincts were wrong!! This certainly isn’t the first time. You must have rocked their socks off!

@VillageMom: Do you have any kind of information on housing at umich? I looked up a bit, but its really confusing.

MSaadB, have you seen this website? [Homepage | University Housing](http://www.housing.umich.edu/)

I agree that it’s confusing. Remind me again into which college you are transfering and what year you’ll be?

My son will be a junior in engineering so he was sent a link to graduate/upperclassmen housing. It’s the Northwood apartment complex on north campus. Even though my son will be living at home with us next year, we drove through north campus today just to check it out. The Northwood apartments look very attractive. I’d be comfortable with him living there.

Let us know what you decide!

I’m a hopeful UM-Dearborn to UM-AA junior transfer, does anyone know if receiving a midterm grade report request is a good or bad thing? They accepted it about it a week ago, so I’m just waiting for the final decision via Wolverine Access.

Is this something that basically all transfers are required to submit before a decision or is it mainly for those on the fence? Thanks!
