Fall 2013 Transfer Thread

They send you an email with your decision in it, followed by a packet (if you’re accepted)

ACCEPTED TODAY!! such a relief. technically i’m not a Fall 2013 transfer since I’ll be enrolling in the Spring term, but I didn’t see a thread for it so here I am.

Anyway I have only a week to enroll (deadline is April 11) but I will be getting on that soon, so hopefully I will get that done in time to have at least half-decent selectivity on courses/housing/etc.

Congrats on everyone else who has gotten in, maybe I’ll see some of you there without knowing! GO BLUE!!

Rejected…ugh… congrats on those who got accepted!

@audq I’m sorry to hear! Are you reapplying for winter? What were your stats?

@Hamzawesome, according to the Michigan website, the enrollment deposit deadline is May 1. We’ve still got time! :)

I just got accepted to the college of engineering!

The following is my previous post with my stats:

"I applied August 2012 for Fall 2013 CoE Trasnfer. Still waiting on acceptance, or anything. Emails to admissions confirm everything is up to par and good. Had to submit college transcripts a 2nd time to update them in Feb.

Graduated high school 2003 with ~3.3 GPA. No special honors.
Attended a community college and maintained 3.95 GPA until I got my associates. Did a lot of other unrelated classes too.

Worked 3 years and then realized need a 4 year degree at the least. Been working and getting credits little by little that I need to transfer. Done every class they recommended in the guidelines and passed them with all 4.0 except two 3.5’s.

I now have a 3.9 GPA and 130 incoming credits (haha) of which I max out the most I can transfer to CoE I think (~45 field related credits). No mentionable honors."

Can we assume it’s a bad sign if we haven’t heard yet?

Not necessarily. I think the timing has more to do with what required classes they still need grades for.

It is less of a risk for them to accept someone with a 3.6 and Calc I-III, Phys 1-2, Programming, Eng 2, Dif Eq, and Chem already completed than someone with a 3.9 who only has two of those completed by the date of application.

Admitted to LSA !!!

Thanks GOD.

still no news… TAT…

Same… :(

Still waiting on this end as well.

same here, still waiting. Does anyone have any idea why its taking them so long? WA says they received my mid term report on 3/27, its been two whole weeks since then.

They received all my materials on 1/22, and they haven’t requested my mid-terms, yet.

Do they ask everyone for a midterm report? I assumed it was a good sign because they were still interested even though my initial grades weren’t very impressive. I’ve really made a huge improvement thus far this semester, so I’m hoping they’ll be impressed by the improvement and admit me.

No, they don’t even request my 2012 fall transcript, I’m an international transfer applicant and fall grades are not available by the deadline of application. I’ve managed to send them fall grades however. Still no news… huh…

My girlfriend called again today. They said the application’s been marked complete but it’s still under review. She asked when will they give a decision, but the lady on the phone said she doesn’t know.

Sigh, the anxiety :(

Does anyone know anything about Transfer housing? Is there ever any room on central campus, or would we be destined for life on the bus?

I got in! Finally!

I called yesterday to see when I should expect a decision by. They said that all decisions should be out within the next week. It’ll show up both on wolverine access and we should get an email as well.

I’m honestly just so worried.
