I was thinking of doing that but Isnt that against some rule? double depositing?

Hmm, I don’t think so. Neither school has anyway of knowing. I didn’t really have any other choice! I’ll have to start applying for housing at this other school if I don’t hear back from Michigan in another couple weeks. I wish they would just give me a decision, good or bad… waiting is the worst.

you guys should call your advisor. The deadline was May 1st, so maybe they’re missing something from you or something.

I haven’t seen any available housing spot right now… Scared of being homeless

If anyone transfer still looking for housing, I still have my contract for Fall 2013 which I do not need. I want to move off campus but got accidentally got stuck with Umich Housing, now I need someone to reassign. Btw, the contract is to Northwood 2

Yeah, when I tried to talk to my advisor a couple days ago they just said “A decision can be posted at any time.”

I’m assuming no decision means you’re rejected at this point. The website says enrollment deadline was May 1st. The transfer open house is next week. All housing is probably taken.

The fact that they can’t send out a timely rejection letter is extremely inconsiderate.

Any mathematics or statistics major here?
Also did someone make Official Umich 2013 fall transfer facebook page already?

^I’m a math major! The reputation of Michigan’s math program was by far the biggest reason I wanted to come here.

Is anyone else trying to choose between Cornell and Michigan? I’m having a really hard time.

I’m probably going to be deciding between UNC v Michigan, though I’m still waiting to hear from one school. Michigan has given me absolutely no clue what their “transfer transition” is like. I don’t have housing info yet, though I paid the deposit. I hear transfer students at Michigan are placed randomly in the far reaches of the U, and I want to make sure I can meet other students. I’m really feeling like they’ve left us hanging out there, and I was accepted well over a month ago.

Are any other accepted Michigan residents being charged out of state tuition? I’ve lived in Michigan for the past four years with my legal guardian, and as far as I can tell none of circumstances listed here: ([Residency - Office of the Registrar](Residency | Office of the Registrar)) apply to me. They’re still making me file a Residency Application, though. To be honest, I’m pretty pissed off. Especially considering how I wasn’t notified of this in any way, and only found out by chance after poking around on Wolverine Access.

Hi guys, i’ve been lurking in this thread for some time… I am accepted by U michigan, but it’s like a bitter sweet because I am also accepted by Emory, and U virginia. I just don’t know which one will better fit me…
Anyone can give me some advice? I want to major in either chemistry or physics, and I would like to go to grad school. Which one I should choose? Thank you for your patience and your valuable suggestions!!

I am thrilled to be accepted into UMich, but I was wondering if I would be able to start in winter 2013 with one more semester of transferable credit under my belt instead of fall 2013. For personal and financial reasons, I would like to spend just one more semester at my current school. Is this possible or would I have to reapply?

@avita01 your best bet really is to call the admissions office.I had questions re: credits transfer and being an international transfer i understand your concerns.Really, call the office up preferably the admitted students phoneline,im sure they have mailed you the number.

@wilsonzhong i would go for UM for undergrad but there are certainly better grad schools out there. You could always attend a diff school for masters. Also consider other factors like school environment, active student activity can be devoid of in certain schools.Depends on what you’re looking for.Cheers.

Anyone else have orientation tomorrow?

Relsparty-I have orientation Thursday, I wonder how many will be at orientation each day?

I’ve never posted on this page but me and my roommate are looking for a male roommate. Because I’m a transfer student too, I realize that many of you will have trouble finding a room. Well, we have a great room at Tower Plaza in the middle of central campus and we’re hoping to split the costs with another person. We’re pretty desperate so any male intent on attending michigan let me know

Hey, I was on the same list too, but after rigorous essays on intent and new grades, I
managed to shine from the pack and was accepted. You can too. I believe in you.

Was just accepted to the College of Engineering! I definitely thought I was going to get denied since I’m coming from an out of state community college.

@nohhari, I’m interested in talking. Just sent you an email.
