I still have not hear anything and it says my application is complete. im not sure what is going on. I applied to the college of engineering

Is it bad that I haven’t been given an admission decision yet? I’m an OOS student.

I just wanted to update with my situation and the question I posted a few days ago. Thank you to @bumblebee12 for your insight! I realize now that I was stressed and worried because I’ve been wanting this for so long. It’s almost like I have been trying so hard to get into Michigan for so long that I never really saw it becoming a reality. I let my fears, insecurities, and that voice that said I wasn’t good enough to get in the first time outweigh my excitement. I went to orientation recently and it cleared everything up for me. Michigan is my school. I put in the work, I showed my dedication, and I got in. If anyone else is having insecurities or doubts about themselves, just remember that you can do it. Transfer students are the ones who really want this. Don’t get discouraged, don’t give up on the dream, and don’t let anything get in the way. Go Blue!

i still havent heard any decision yet. they asked me to send my spring grades, and i have sent to them last week. in my last semester, i took 19 units and got 14 units A and 5 units B. im so worried

I haven’t heard back yet either. It’s taking a while for my transcript to get there.

Anyone still looking for a place to live/a roommate?

For those who have not heard - have faith!

I was just accepted today into the college of engineering - computer science!

I dropped out of HS, and had a rough history. My current GPA from local CC is 3.92 with one ‘W’.

Good luck!!

I AM SO EXCITED!

Tpd1987, I remember your earlier posts! I told my son and my husband about you because I was so impressed by your story. :)

Congratulations!!! I knew that you’d be accepted!

Maybe you’ll be in some classes with my son. He’s also CoE - Computer Science and transfering from WCC.

I know I’m not your mom, but I have to say… I am really, really proud of you. :)

Can anyone help me make a decision?
I got accepted by University of Michigan and Wash U st.louis, and I have to respond to these two universities soon.
I am an electrical engineering major, and an international student. I know that Umich has a much better engineering program, and probably better reputation, but I also like the small size of Wash U. It’s hard to decide. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Accepted today. College of Engineering. :-)

Still no news as a CoE computer science transfer. Looks like they just rolled out the CSE acceptances above so I fear tomorrow (I was deferred then infinitely waitlisted on a Saturday last year) D:

@VillageMom, Thanks so much for your support! I really cannot believe this is happening. I’m sure I will see your son around. However, I am still unsure who he is for certain!

I am a bit worried because it appears the Financial Aid deadline is today. I have also read on the UM Financial Aid website that to ensure aid students should have been accepted before Feb. 1 and applied to FAFSA by 4/30. I have applied to FASFA well before the deadline, but being accepted so late, I fear my chances for aid aren’t guaranteed. Looks like I have a lot I have to figure out.

@Ahrimx, I know it’s stressful, but just hold tight. I have a friend who has still yet to hear (chemEng). Good Luck! What are your “stats” (GPA, etc.)?

Good Luck!!!

@Ahrimx

I was accepted 2 days ago as a computer science transfer. Did you ask if they received your latest transcript?

@tpd1987

I was a little worried about that as well, but I talked to their main office. They told me that as long as your FAFSA is in on time and you’re in state, you’ll certainly be considered.

@MichiganTransfer, thank you for your response. This morning I went to the financial aid office and they told me late admitted students need not worry about deadlines. Those deadlines are not applicable to late admit. students.

@tpd1987 im transferring to college of engineering and i havent heard any announcement. i called them last week and they had received my transcript. we just need to wait now…

@awp1992, My friend transferring into chemEngin still has not heard yet also. He has been on the phone with Brian Enochs, the transfer connection at CoE, and it appears my friend is being deferred a second time. How where your latest semester grades?

I was accepted by ChemE last Friday.

@ajinqu99, Congratulations! Umich is certainly taking their time with these decisions!

Hi! I am still looking for housing next year. I am Econ major and preferring living in campus.

Hi guys! If you could PLEASE help me, that would be really great.

My name is Lauren and I am almost beginning my second year at Western Michigan University. My first semester of college, I had a 3.88 GPA and second semester I ended with a 3.875 GPA. I applied for Fall 2013 with only 16 credits (1st semester) and was denied, but now I have 36 completed credits. I took 15 credits my second semester and a 5 credit course at a local community college over the summer. I was unfortunately denied with my 16 credits because I was not involved in anything other than an a cappella group and my HS stats are terrible. 3.1 GPA-23 ACT.

Right now, I have an overall GPA of a 3.875 at WMU, and a 4.0 at KVCC. I am still a soloist in the No Strings Attached A Cappella group, but I am also a member of the American Medical Student Association, a part of the Lee Honors College, a sales associate at Old Navy, and a Patient Representative (volunteer) at Borgess Hospital.

I am moving my application to the Winter 2014 term, and I will be sending in 4 letters of recommendation by the end of this month. Do you guys think I have a chance? If they were to accept me, I would be transferring over with 51 credits. Do you think that’s enough?

I know the more college I have under my belt, the less they will look at my high school, but will it help that my grade trend in HS increased significantly? Junior and senior year I had nothing below a 3.7, and 2 semester were over a 4.0.

Thank you so much for your help! I really need it.
