I was just accepted today to the college of engineering! So excited. Go blue!

@cabowabo123 You must be thrilled!! Congrats!! :)

Congrats! I can’t believe you were deferred to begin with.

Does anyone know if they will release decisions during spring break?

Does anyone know if having been accepted for transfer before (Winter '13) will help my chances after applying again (Spring '13)? Even if my GPA went down a bit (3.58 to 3.47)?

@michfan12 I think the decisions keep coming out a constant basis because it is rolling. The wait has definitely been killer.

@Toofast ok, awesome! I definitely feel you on that though. I just can’t wait to receive a decision. When did you apply?

@michfan12 jan 22nd so probably part of the later batches

@Toofast right. They received all of my stuff the 25 of January, but I received an email a few weeks ago asking to send a mid year report form and they just received that on the 27 of February. So I have no idea when I can expect a decision.

So basically from what I’ve read from earlier threads, you get a decision within a week of them getting the midterm report, so you should hear sometime this week

I have been reading this forum the past couple days, stumbled upon it on accident but am glad I did. It is reassuring to see others getting accepted!
I am a non traditional student, I have been an EMT for years and decided to go back to school to change my career to become a teacher. Back in the day my schooling was, lets say less than par. I do not think I would have been accepted to any university in the state with the grades I had.
Now I am at UM-Flint
I have a 3.61 with 36 credits and 12 this semester pending. I also plan on taking 9 more credits this spring/summer.
I do not have any EC that most would have due to being in a different place in life.
I have however been a head coach of a varsity hockey team for the past 7 years.
I guess another EC could be “father of 2”
Also as I mentioned I am an EMT as for my job.
I have legacy with my wife she got her undergrad at UM, got her masters at GV only because UM did and still does not offer her program (physician assistant)
I figure my chances are pretty slim and would be ok staying at UM-Flint, but do not always want to wonder “what if” had I not applied.
Good luck to everyone still waiting on a decision!
I look forward to seeing you all accepted!

That would be awesome if the turn around time is that fast! @Toofast hopefully it does and hopefully a decision comes soon for you also.

This anticipation is killing me! Any good news, or any at all?

From what I have picked up in this forum, decisions usually come on Thursdays and Fridays? Any truth to this?

Just got my acceptance!!

michfan12 congrats bro!

michfan12 Congrats!!

Great news Michfan12!!
I hope the rest of us hear something today!

Hey guys,
I just got my acceptance this morning. Best of luck to the rest of you all.

@trumboma Congrats! Are you LSA?
And do you guys think it’s a bad thing when they don’t ask for your mid-year report?
