Hi there, I figured I could just bud in?
My status has been "in review’ since march 8-9,
From what I hear it says that as default so I’m not really putting any thought into it at this point. (should I be?)
Thanks

I THINK the in review status is default…as a freshman applicant last year my status was in review for 6 months and switched to that status 3 days after UT had received all of my things. BUT I know that people with 30+ hours already usually get decisions at earliest late march-early to mid may.

ya I am a 30+ hours applicant, wow early march-mid may. . . . :-S

I’m looking to transfer for Summer 2014 and thought it could still be relevant. Interested in any help!
Current college- University of Houston

My application is not yet in review. Last time I checked it still says application is completed.

How do we get our minds off this? We know its not coming till mid april at the earliest.

I just checked my application today. Before it said complete. Now it’s saying it’s imcomplete and I need to send in my final transcript including my grades from Spring 2014. However, I already have 30+ hours done. I have 32 hours due to AP Credits. What’s going on??

I know this is getting wayy ahead of myself but I’m just curious, does anyone know if transfer students can join frats/sororities? And if so, what is the whole process in joining?

“However, I already have 30+ hours done. I have 32 hours due to AP Credits. What’s going on??”

They aren’t taking all your AP credits.

They said the take the AP credits that transfer over to the current institution I am attending

Do you think the admissions work on weekends also?

@Korsgaard e-mail one of the admissions counselors. It may take some time. I had an issue with my application because UT had made a mistake when uploading my info into their system and they fixed it. Its possible UT made a mistake on yours too. <a href=“Contact Us | Undergraduate Admissions | The University of Texas at Austin”>Contact Us | Undergraduate Admissions | The University of Texas at Austin;

Hey y’all! Just scrolling through all of the threads, I’ll answer a few questions:
In review: it means that your app is complete and is either in the hands of the committee or it is being read by the committee. They review each one to decide what the applicant pool looks like. The longer your app stays in review, the better. They can eliminate applicants whenever they wish to. It can be in review as long as months or weeks. My app was “in review” for about 3 or 4 weeks once I submitted my transcript at mid May. I didn’t get accepted into Moody until mid June. So, bad news travels fast remember that!
Transfer sorority: I am a DG who reaffiliated, but I know of a transfer who rushed. You can sign up as soon as you get Accepted which will be in June or May. You can sign up as late as you like before rush. Same goes for frats.
Good luck y’all, message me for any questions! Hook’em!

@rice00princess admissions only works 8-5 monday-friday.

If you don’t yet have 30 hours and UT has to wait for your final transcript, will the admissions committee take your second semester grades into consideration when they are deciding whether or not to accept you?

yes

Does anyone know of a solid date we’ll get a reply during? Or if how well our application looks affects when we get a reply? I’m really tired of waiting and want a date to look forward to.

@korsgaard if your AP credit does not show on your transcript at your current institution they will not count it towards the number of hours you have

@txgirl9457 they do show up. I think one of the classes I took last semester just doesn’t transfer over. I’d actually prefer for them to use my spring 2014 grades anyway.

Hey, do you think it’s too late to change major choices? I am wondering if I should have put undeclared CNS instead of Math. Should I just take my chances and leave it? i haven’t got a lot of natural science credits since I was a business major.
