Hey Lauren, why do you want to transfer from UCONN? I’m applying there as well as BU.
Hi everyone, I just applied yesterday to CAS as a history major…just waiting on the applicant link. Now we play the waiting game…best of luck to everybody!
Hey, I applied to CAS as an International Relations major in Mid January. I got everything turned in to Admissions and Financial Aid. Now I’m just waiting.
I’m transferring from CC after a year & a half with a 3.72 GPA & Criminal Justice A.S.
-Phi Theta Kappa
-Criminal Justice Student Association Member
-CJSA Senator to Student Government
-Volunteered with special needs orphans in Rabat, Morocco
- Involved in many speaking events to high school students about CJ
-Wrote International Relation papers for International Club
There is a lot more to my resume. I’m just listing highlights. Too much to add on here.
I’m switching my major because my CC doesn’t have a International Relations major. Transferring with an A.S. is going to hurt me in the transfer credit process, I should’ve taken AA but too late now. I was able to get most of the general education out of the way except for a general science/lab.
My high school record is horrible. I had a 2.9 UW and 3.2 W GPA due to many events that had taken place in my life. Living household to household while helping take care of my grandparents. I didn’t take the SAT nor ACT because I was going to the USMC until a tattoo waiver dilemma. I was told if I didn’t take it then don’t rush to take it now, just heavily emphasis on why you would be a great fit for BU and rely on your record. So I’m here.
I’ve applied to NEU (Waiting), Brandeis University (Waiting), American University (Waiting), Syracuse University (Waiting), Binghamton University (Accepted), SUNY Geneseo (Accepted), Rochester Institute of Technology (Accepted)
SamFabes I would like to transfer from UConn mainly because of the location. I feel very isolated and stifled, especially as a freshman without a car. I know that in a city school I would truly experience independence and have more opportunities for things like internships, jobs and meeting a variety of people. I just need something MORE than UConn will ever be able to offer because of Storrs.
Still says that my HS transcript is missing even though it was sent 2 weeks ago…is this the case for anyone else?
Don’t freak out too much because I sent mine almost month ago and the Applicant Link just updated saying they had them only a few days ago. I called a few times during that time and they said they have a lot of paperwork coming in, so not to worry too much.
I would call your high school and double check that they actually sent them though.
yeah i talked to admissions and they told me the same thing…lots of paperwork. High School definitely sent it. @Giraffing which school within BU did u apply to?
@hopefultransferstudnt7996 Arts & Sciences
I’m a guaranteed transfer here! But I dont think i’m going to go if the money is bad… (which is pretty likely to be bad tbh)
Seems like from previous year threads, a good amount of decisions went out April 10th…hopefully that will be the case this year!
Has anyone heard anything?
Nope! Probably won’t for a little while sadly. I am anxiously waiting. I heard back from one of my schools but not the others.
I just heard back and was accepted to the College of Engineering
@gwill819 Congrats!! Did they email you, or did you just check the portal?
@gwill819 congrats!! How did you hear?!
Got accepted into the college of Communications! Second semester freshman transfer, good luck everyone else!
@bostonbabexo3 Yay! Congrats! How did you find out?
Accepted. I am a guaranteed transfer. I got a decent amoutn of money surprisingly. 27k. but 9k of it are loans lol…I dont know if I’m going to go
Accepted to College of Arts & Sciences! Found out by logging on to applicant link…wasn’t expecting to see anything. Got an email about an hour later saying admission decision was available to view. Who else heard?
