@Sait17 I didn’t get one!
@yoursmile @brainlash @rr0 Calm down peeps Many many people who TAG’d to UCI did not get accepted yet. They go on a rather random basis in-terms of early admissions. If you TAG’d with UCI, and fulfilled the requirements necessary, while maintaining the necessary GPA, you can take a breather. Chances very very high that are you are in! They specifically state on their website that ALL admissions will be released between April 1-30th. The fact they released some early does not mean anything for your chances!
I tagged to uci with gpa 4.0 . Complete all required classes before this semester, even though addional classes this semester I will go through with As. Volunteer at local hospital. Tutor in my school. Major : Bio. Still waiting for acceptance!
Same boat as you guys.
Status: Pending

Accepted: UCR (Regents)
Rejected: UCSB (Missing prereqs)

I think it depends on when you submitted your TAU? Like for me I submitted my TAU literally an hour or so after it became available? Or maybe it’s just completely random. I go to PCC and my friends who didn’t TAG got accepted the same day I did
Still pending and getting very anxious about it

For those who got in through Honors to Honors, what was the scholarship award amount UCI offered you guys?
Also, what other perks did you receive through Honors to Honors?
welcome packet JUST came in for me today, dont know how/when they decide to mail it to you, but i live fairly close to irvine and i was among some of the first to get accepted (plus i submitted by SIR that same day)
^ for more info, i wasnt in regent on honors, i just tagged and got in through tag
Is there a transfer Facebook page or anything? We have time but was looking at finding roommates too and fellow transfers!
@linzcath UCI FALL TRANSFER 2018 is the page on Facebook
My welcome package arrived today! I live in San Diego and got in last Tuesday.
Still application received. I’m TAG for UCI : civil engineer
Hello all. I understand the anxiety, but everyone in the transfer thread should have a better idea of their skills than the freshman. There is no reason to be worried about whether you got admitted to UCI before April even arrives.
There are obviously those that the University probably would want an early commitment from, but if you are talented you will be successful at a UC or a CSU.
So, transfer student, TAG, aerospace, and I’ve been accepted. The website notified me of a status change last Wednesday, and I’m being asked to submit my SIR, Transfer conditions, etc.
However, nowhere on the site, nor anywhere that I can see, have I gotten an actual offer letter. The financial aid section says it will be updated in early May, but I know others in some of my classes who have gotten full offers, including what grants or waivers they were getting.
I assume that a formal offer letter is coming in the mail at some point and can wait for that, obviously, but it seems odd that the only thing I know is that I’m accepted at this point. Part of me wonders if the SIR includes any extra details, but I’m hesitant to click the button as I don’t want to commit myself yet (and don’t trust that it isn’t a one-and-done thing).
Anyone have any insight?
Oh, for the record…
Status: Accepted
Major: Aerospace Engineering
GPA: Probably 4.0 (I’m a non-traditional student with two crappy semesters from 20+ years ago, but none of those units likely count; 4.0 across 80 units since then)
TAG: Yes (I think)
IGETC: No
Pre-reqs: Yes (I think)
Pending: UCSD, UCLA, Harvey Mudd, Caltech
If you were notified you were accepted I wouldn’t worry about it. You are notified electronically before you receive anything in the mail. When I was accepted it was an electronic notification after an email. I got my letter about a week later.
My financial aid was not done until after I submitted my SIR. If you know what your EFC is outside of scholarships you shouldn’t be too surprised. I received the blue and gold opportunity plan and did student loans and opted out of work study. I would recommend work study/internships for all that qualify, but my work life balance didn’t allow for it.
Btw I was a non traditional as well. I graduated from UCI Spring 2017
