I’m still pending… how… much… longer!?

I’m dying right now ): after receiving a false acceptance letter, which made it worst and now I have to wait again.
Does anybody know how lenient UCI when it comes to completion of major requirement? As you can see from my previous post, if everything go as planned, I will have one class missing (some engineering design course) for Mechanical Engineering. Would anyone care to weigh in?
@alliot Can’t say for sure but for my major (Electrical Engineering) one of my major prep is electrical circuits with lab but my college only offers the class and not the lab and I was still accepted through tag so if you are just missing one class I’d think that you would still be ok.
@alliot I can’t speak for admissions but when talking with different UCI advisors and reps, Finishing the IGETC and major requirements isn’t a big matter for UCI. If you don’t finish it at the CC, you will be taking it at the university. They do recommend finishing all or as much as you can to be more competitive and be highly selective from the other applicants as well as depending on your major probably. However it might be highly recommended to finish all your requirements if your major is competitive but in your situation, you’re only missing one so it should be fine and you can just take it at the campus (:
For my major, I had the option of taking psych 9B at UCI or in my CC but I decided to complete it this spring to save time in taking lower division courses and just go into upper division when I transfer.

Yeah this is strictly for admission purposes. I thought I applied as an Aerospace (which I tagged) but I was somehow applying for Mechsnical Engineering. I intend to change major as soon I I get in (if, I get in, of course), so I will end up not needing that course (the only difference between Aerospace an Mechanical is that course I mentioned earlier). I am very nervous because of this TAG debacle and UCI was safety school as I figured I had the agreement, and how competitive engineering can be. I hope we all get in tho
@alliot Unfortunately the TAG will most likely be voided if the major is different on the uc application… BUT I’ve seen so many people going through regular admissions being accepted when they didn’t finish all of the courses. Usually they just make them finish in the summer or they let you just take it at UCI. So you still have a good chance of being accepted through regular admissions, especially since you’re only missing one course!

Do they also hand out rejections when updating the acceptions? or do they just wait until the end and then send out a rejection to everyone?
Because if it’s the latter then I don’t feel too good about my chances. I have a 3.3 as Psych Major and I’m yet to hear from Davis or Irvine. I doubt I get into either

Are you doing regular psychology or psychology and social behavior?
I think they send out acceptances/rejections at the same time in a mixed random order.
