Fall 2021 Transfer Admissions for SDSU

my daughter also accepted first wave and no ADT and we live in north county SD

Most likely because you’re local, so you get priority without the ADT (:

is there a reason why you applied as different majors?

Different schools have different curriculum for your major. Some of these schools Computer Engineering major has only 3-5 classes different compared to their Computer Science program, why not just apply for the easier major to get into? Computer Science has been highly competitive and this is my last year of doing community college.

Then some schools change of major can easily be done if the changed major you have is in the same school as your current major (i.e. Software Engineering at Cal Poly, I can do one quarter, have a 2.0 GPA and easily switch to Computer Science).

Regardless, I’m interested in all the majors I applied as all of them can be a Software Engineer after graduation or for a masters in a computer science specialization.

Cool! Thanks

Yeah but as a local. Non local students seems like it was a requirement for admissions.

if her major isn’t at csusm she was given local priority. adt doesn’t seemed to be required for locals, only california nonlocals

I waitlisted so I’m not sure I can appeal. I really do wish if they’re going to give preference to ADT applicants that they either make it a requirement or specify that it’s highly preferred or recommended. Their admissions website currently makes it seem that IGETC, SDSU Transfer pathways, and ADT are interchangeable but clearly the trend us showing that is not the case. If you decided to appeal I’d be interested to hear what the process is like.

Still pending here. Out of state business major

No SDSU does not negotiate financial aid since all the Cal states give need-based aid almost exclusively vs. merit aid. You can contact the FA office and make sure that there are no mistakes on your FASFA for piece of mind.
