Fall 2021 Transfer Admissions for SDSU

Gotcha. Has it been verified yet?

I don’t think the individual grades for the golden 4 matter honestly. SDSU says that their admission decisions are solely based on the supplemental, and the supplemental just has you mark off the golden 4 as completed, doesn’t ask you to enter the grades. Seems like they just care about your overall GPA. If anything, I’d think they’d care more about the grades you get in your major prep work, rather than the golden 4. But again Im pretty sure its just the overall gpa they’re looking at.

You’re not considered a true “local” transfer student with priority admission unless you went to Cuyamaca, Grossmont, Imperial Valley, San Diego City, San Diego Mesa, San Diego Miramar, or Southwestern. Even if you go to one of those school’s currently, but at one point went to a diff school outside of those, then you’re no longer considered local (like me).

I hope so too! Definitely SDSU. CSULB was a safety school for me.

If I remember correctly, last year local transfers started getting admission decisions the last week of February. I think I got my denial around that time too. Non-local and those with ADT heard back later, like the second week of March. Its kinda on a rolling basis starting the last week of February.
Best of luck to everyone…

Hey ya’ll, feel like we may actually be getting news sometime very soon like some of ya’ll have been saying. Jus went into my portal and the wording has changed, used to say that “initial decisions will be made on info reported on supplemental applications” now it says “decisions will be made on academic qualifications of the applicant pool”. Just a small change but I’m very anxious and I’m starting to read into it. Also it says admission decisions will be available in March, it used to say Mid March. Idk maybe I’m making a big deal outta nothing.

Well if u look at last years thread fo SDSU transfers, some started to get decisions late February. Seemed like people who were locals to SDSU and certain majors that maybe not as impacted got admissions late feb. So some people here may get news soon. But it’s a new year so things are different, just want this process to be over

Historically, this is the day admissions start rolling out for local, non-ADT applicants. Fingers crossed for y’all.

I believe it’s actually been the 25th of feb. But I may be wrong. I’ve looked back at the past forums as well as Reddit posts and it’s been the 25th for the past 3 years. For people who didn’t apply with ADT or their ADT doesn’t relate to the major they applied with at SDSU. For those that did apply with an ADT that does relate to the major they applied with they have to wait till after March 15 or 16, because SDSU tends to wait for Community Colleges to verify the ADT’s

But things could be different this year because of COVID, they did extend the deadline for the supplemental applications this year. So they may be delayed this year with admissions. Anyways good luck to everyone, hopefully we can all get in

Just an update no one asked for but sending anyways lol

Degree: ADT, business admin
GPA: 3.45
Golden 4: completed
Local: no, but transferring from san diego mesa
Major: Business admin (general business)
Applied to: Cal Poly (accepted), CSULB (accepted), CSULA (accepted), CSUF (pending),CSUN (pending), CSUSM (pending), SDSU (pending)

*I don’t think us transfers with the ADT will be finding out till after March 15th. I emailed evaluations at my cc and they said that we WON’T see a green check until the 15th. The SDSU web portal also says that it could take up to 5 business days after the 15th to see that green check. But I do know we have to be told before April 1st. Good luck everyone!

@Bre_Carreon
Congrats on all those acceptances! It looks like you already have some acceptances from some great schools.

@SandyScholer
I stand corrected, it has been the 25th.

@Russdiculous
I have my green checkmark too. I don’t expect any news until March tho.
