Harvey Mudd is at the top of my list and I’m a female interested in STEM, but is it worth applying to if I’m Asian and not first gen?
@glasshours - My son attended Spring FAST his junior year and says there were Asian females (wouldn’t know if they were first gen or not). I’d say go for it, could be a great experience.
Just submitted my app! So scared! Hopefully my fear will be able to make me run faster at XC… ^:)^
I submitted mine today too! Apparently we get decisions Friday so at least we wont be anxiously waiting too long…
Anyone have any idea how many spots there are and/or how many people will apply?
30 to 50 slots which means that many talented students will not get a chance. However it won’t affect your application to Mudd.
@magikarp256 Around 150-200ish kids per applicant pool. Acceptance is what @BrownParent stated.
Does anyone know someone who went to FAST who DIDN’T get into Mudd?
One more day! So scared… :-SS
Accepted via email
rejected, and not surprised. Asian female, not first gen, what can I say? also 40/580 hella low yield
I was rejected too. I already visited though so that definitely lowered my chances.
D16 rejected. Mixed race US citizen living abroad, so a little surprised. She had visited before though.
@michelle426 - Same – really hoping that’s the reason they rejected me. Never expected to get in because I’m relatively well-off, but it was a bit discouraging.
Well, whatever happens… FAST is a nice little perk to your application. Getting rejected doesn’t mean a thing. I am visiting and interviewing later the semester.
@michelle426 - Good luck with the interview! Hopefully we’ll both be invited to Admit Weekend next year?
@glasshours Really hope so! Maybe I can actually meet a CCer in real life!
