<p>I just looked at the calendar for the next school year and tried to figure out on which dates I should buy air tickets for our D.
For Thanksgiving break it's clear: round trip should be on Now 21-29, but for the Winter break I have doubts:
Fall semester ends 12/18 at 5:30pm (she has classes on Friday) and Halls closed at 8pm. Since she will be living at Mark Twain dormitory it will be closed, so in case if her flight is
at 9am, where she is going to spend the night? Or just skip the classes on the last day of semester?</p>
<p>The same situation is for Spring Break - March, 26.</p>

<p>My D had this issue in Twain her first semester at Thanksgiving. She received special permission to stay overnight that Friday with the PAs and had to be out by 8 am. the following morning. You might want to wait and see when her finals end. She might be able to come home sooner. Same with Spring semester…she may have no late Friday classes. Also, by Christmas, she will probably know kids in St. Louis or KC that might let her stay overnight and take her to the airport the next morning. D has done that before, also…</p>

<p>Mizzou mom’s right on with her suggestion! I’d follow that advice for sure.</p>
<p>Finals at Mizzou are arranged by time and day of class. For example, all courses that meet at 10am on MWF have their final at X time on Y day, whereas all courses that meet at 2pm on TuTh have their final at A time on B day. That way, you shouldn’t have any conflicts with finals scheduling because obviously you can’t be in two places at once. </p>
<p>Since this is the method they use for determining finals, if your daughter knows her schedule now, she can check online to see when her finals will be. <p>Keep in mind that many professors who have finals on Thursday or Friday will actually administer their finals during dead week (which is the week before finals) so that they’re not stuck there until the end of the week too. There’s a good chance she’ll be done with finals Tuesday or Wednesday, as has been the case with me for each of the past four semesters.</p>
<p>To recap:</p>
<p>She might be able to come home early.
If not, she can probably spend an extra night in Mark Twain.
If she doesn’t want to do that, fly out of St Louis and crash with a friend the night before.</p>
<p>The Fall 2009 final exam schedule is actually up but in a difficult-to-find place. My course advisor at Summer Welcome found it after some time on Google. Here’s the link:</p>

<p>One more question: Do you have finals for classes with grading : Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory?</p>
