Fall Semester Grades (Seniors)

Hey everyone, but mostly Class of 2014 and any earlier class who knows about this. I am a senior and I am very excited to make my move onward in life next year when I graduate but I just want to know how senior grades affect admissions since the college app deadlines end before grades are even put in. Do we have any time to get our grades up at least a little before October or November? Or will our new grades be nullified (not looked into consideration)? I am not talking from the perspective of a struggling student, with say a 2.6 GPA but from the perspective of a student with a well maintained, but not sufficient enough 3.5 GPA. Any thoughts, please contribute.

Thanks.

Some colleges may require midyear reports and a lot may request your first semester grades.

Im hoping that is how my college choices will do things because being given 3 months allows for a nice chance for improvement. I also understand that colleges may require the apps by early first semester, but are really looking to see if you can maintain a hardworking attitude and prosper in rigorous class choices all year round. Basically, they watch you continue the school year even after submittance of the application.
