Family Housing questions

Hi all,
So I have a question I am hoping people may know the answer to...
First the background:
I have a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Arizona, am married and we have a 15.5 month old son.
I took a summer class at UW in 2011 as a non-matriculated student, but have applied and am now enrolled as a Mechanical Engineering Post-Baccalaureate. However in my Unofficial Transcript it still lists me as "No Longer Enrolled (Last Quarter Summer 2011). I am registered for classes and the registration tool has me listed correctly.

My questions is this:
Most pressing is that we really need to move to Family Housing (currently in a 625 sq. ft apartment near U Village) and right now it shows me as having no priority and at 44th position on the list... is my status causing me these issues? or am I jumping the gun and really just need to wait for things to be updated?

and if it is causing issues what can I do about it? (have called admissions, but was basically told don't worry about it, then called Financial Aid and they said my Non-matriculated status was getting in the way of an award letter)

How is your application going so far? I just applied for family housing yesterday and I can’t find anything not written by HFS themselves about priorities and expected wait times.

Well I ended up talking with people at hfs for awhile and what they said is that they only had 4 families say they were moving, so the list isn’t going to be moving very fast… I am 13th… Now people might just decide to move out at random but… *shrug

Currently I am freaking out about childcare, it’s all extremely expensive and they all seem to have waitlists…
