Fashion Institute of Technology (Fall 2015 Admission)

@sabrinan I’m not applying for housing as I live NYC,yeah that is tough, all these deadlines and you don’t hear from them. And it doesn’t end there, The packet had so much paperwork I have now finally read it. You have to do a NYC Residency/ Immunizations/ Tuition Deposit/ Health Insurance, it seems never ending even after getting in. I wish you the best of luck… Hope you all hear soon and it will be good news!

@Vendula‌ oh my, that is a lot of paperwork!

Does anyone know why I haven’t heard back yet? I applied in October and I haven’t heard anything from the school

Hey guys, just letting yall know I got my rejection letter today. I wish everyone the best of luck with school

@Madzzz I’m so sorry to hear that

Hey peeps  i applied to fit and still haven’t heard back from them ? Do you think one should call them or what should I do? I want to go there so bad :((

Has anyone heard if any transfers been accepted or rejected? I haven’t heard anything back either way and I was wondering if they do the transfer applications last.

@Madzzz I am so sorry to hear that ): I hope as you mentioned the other school will be just as good! Things happen for a reason and and maybe staying close to your family is what you need while going to college… Keep in mind maybe you’ll learn the skills that can benefit you now and always continue later, I have done this twice, am in my thirties and now starting again, without what I have learned in previous programs I don’t think I would get in… So I wish you best of luck!!! @Mariese For sure call to make sure your application is complete, also you can easily just ask them on facebook in FIT discussion board they answer daily and you will be able to find out at least some info, Here is the link : http://www.forumforpages.com/facebook/fashion-institute-of-technology/acceptance-letters/750062402/12#=

@InezElizabeth I applied to be a junior year transfer & still have yet to hear anything back! I don’t know what the wait is but if it helps your not alone

@jamienr It does help to know that I’m not alone! Still nothing in the mail today… I am also applying as a jr year transfer!

@InezElizabeth I got nothing yesterday either but I’m hoping I hear something today! I’ll make sure to keep my fingers crossed for you too!

I got waitlisted… Idk if I should be happy or sad…I’m still totally interested in going but it says I won’t be notified until like July 10 and I need to reply back to LIM by May, so it would be really nice to know if a spot fills up or not. Ughh

So glad I put so much time and effort into my application and essays and spent $50 just to get rejected. But oh well, the school I am going to has a great fashion program.

Does anyone knows what are the chances to get accepted into the fmm course for an international student? I’m from malaysia… I got a C for my Maths :frowning: Would I get a bigger chance if i applied for the spring sem? Oh… and let’s say if i study my aas for fashion marketing in citytech would i be able to do my ba fmm in fit? is that even possible?

Hey im Caitlyn, i applied and i haven’t received my letter but i feel like if you’re accepted they will email you first because as I’ve been doing research that’s what I’ve noticed

Hey! I am a transfer student from Austin, Texas. My major is FMM and I have a 3.1 GPA. I was accepted into FIT two days ago! I have been reading through the comments since March and I finally made an account! I think they look at transfers last because my letter took so long to come in.

Congratulations!
Did you get a letter? Did you also get an email? I’m glad they are finally getting around to the transfers:)

@InezElizabeth honestly it’s random. I’m a transfer student and I got my acceptance letter around March 20th. I also missed priority deadline. FIT has a weird admissions process.

I applied to FIT, and I still haven’t heard back. I’m beginning to get alittle worried being that everyone I know has heard back already… Anyone else in the same boat?

Transfer student to online 1-yr AAS FMM program. Missed priority deadline - no word yet, but told by admissions that those that missed the deadline would have to wait “a few weeks.” (in my case, it’s been over four weeks). Just thought I’d pop in here because I’ve found everyone’s posts to be helpful, at least psychologically! Best of luck all!
