Feasability of self-studying...is it really worth it?

Since I'm going to be a senior next year, is it really worth it to self-study for AP's such as env. science, human geography, or music theory? Obviously colleges won't see the scores when I apply and many Ivy's don't even give any credit for some AP's in the first place.

And also...I'm an IB diploma candidate so is it worth it taking the corresponding AP tests for the IB subjects [ie IB Bio > AP Bio, IB Euro > AP Euro, etc...] for double credit in the spring or is that just a waste of time/money as well?

If they don’t accept the credit it’s worthless. Why waste your money?

It really depends on the college but I would definitely take the correspoinding AP Test for the IB Subjects. A lot of schools give credit for AP Bio, AP Euro, and what not. But there’s some tests like AP Human Geography where you get no credit at all.
