Feb 18 Audition

Hey…auditioning at BW on Feb 18 and just wondering if any other CCers out there will be there.

Nope, I'll be there on the 11th.

No, sorry..I already auditioned there. It's such a great experience! I love that school. Good luck to you:)

I'll be there, mainly because I'm a student. If you have any questions I'd be glad to help

Does anyone know if they accept CD audition for vocal performance. D out of available dates and 2/25 is no MT so I thought we could send in her classical CD and see what happens. Hate to miss this school. Sounds wonderful but a little to late for audition process.

BWMT09,
Any information about the audition process and/or the kind of environment it is to work in. I used to date a girl at BW and she introduced me to a MTer named Mitch M. and I came up last year for a visit to see him and a couple of classes. It seemed like a very comfortable setting and I cant recall of her name but the lady who is the head seemd really cool.

I hope everyone loves BW! :) I have been in love with their program since I was a freshman in college. I was at the January 20th audition! :) crossing my fingers

I meant a freshman in highschool! hehe

Just to let you all know, there are a couple of events happening this audition weekend. First off on friday at 7 we are having the Musical Theatre Misfits Cabaret, where musical theatre majors sing songs that go completely against their "type", specifically against race or gender specific casting. Some songs included will be; Ole Man River, And I'm telling you I'm not going and Defying Gravity. So if you get into town early and you have nothing to do come over and watch! donations going towards Ars Nova (the MT club) will be asked for at the door, although not required to get in. It takes place in the Chamber Hall in the Kulas Musical Arts building, the same place where you'll have your audition the next day. Also Saturday night the BW theatre department is presenting The Laramie Project at 730 at the Kleist center of the arts (which is where your dance audition takes place). There are a few MT's in that show as well, so if you're staying till sunday go see that too. Good luck to everyone auditioning on saturday!

Sorry to dissapoint anyone who may have been planning to see Laramie Project this weekend. For some reason I thought that it opened this weekend, but unfortunatly it doesn't open until the next weekend. Sorry about the wrong information.

So...got home from the audition today...and...IT WAS GREAT...great people, great facilities, great times. Sitting in on the master class was very informative to watch all of the BW MTers receive direction from Mrs. Emery. The waiting room talking to the 3 seniors was also very relaxing and sometimes very comical. All around Vicky, the other staff members, and the students were very welcoming. Good luck to all who auditioned.

Last week one of the BW students said that the letters should be coming in the mail within the week from the Feb 18 audition..has anyone received one yet?

I thought they were sending them out around st. patrick's day?

Did Vicky say that at the audition? Cause there really wouldn't be any need to send them that late. At your audition she decides basically on the spot if you're in or not, so keeping letter at bay until then doesn't seem right. Last year I got an acceptance letter 2 weeks after my audition. Actually this coming weekend would be the same weekend my letter came in the mail last year... so hopefully this weekend???

I sent BW an email a few days ago about when we were supposed to hear...and they replied back today stating the letters will be mailed out on March 13. I guess they got rid of rolling admissions?
