***February 2016 ACT Discussion Thread***

Good luck, guys!

I would love to hear what essay prompt came out this time and what scores everyone gets.

With so much controversy surrounding the scoring system of the newly formatted essay, I hope they right the ship soon and get their grading system in order!

8 More Days until the scores come out… if I get a 28 I get an iPhone and a 1500$ computer lol

will the eng curve be lenient?

please God let scores come out on the 17th (6 days 14 hours left!!!)

I’m not really sure why saying “oh, i think I missed 12 math questions…” is a violation of ACT’s contract of not discussing answers? I mean, you’re not discussing any specific question, rather you’re just stating your opinion on how you did generally.

@clichescreenname couldn’t agree more.

When do people start going from “registered” to “tested?”

Jk just checked, it’s right before. I’m super nervous to get my score :frowning:

Anyone’s tested? 5 days left until the 17th. Usually my scores come out the first day.

@chelseag89 Nope still registered. 4 days left

is there quick way to get score if you are ńot 13 yet. Can’t register online with act to get score early (duke tip for 7th grader)

Have your parents do it @zindabad

@suzyq7 Thanks, just received an package in mail. Dad not interested all the paper work and getting picture. He suggested by them time i set it up, i will get my grades in march anyway. :frowning: .

thanks @coffeeaddicted very helpful

Does the ACT round. Say I would have gotten a 28.5, would that go up to a 29 or would it stay a 28?

Yes, the ACT rounds up. Any score ending in .50 or .75 will round up, and any score ending in .25 will round down.

Thanks @jwn9917!

Do a majority of people get their scores on the first day of release (for us, February 17th)? I just don’t want to get all excited and then have to wait another 4 weeks or something. I don’t care about the essay score right now.

@fairagoura if u look at the December thread, you’ll see a good number of them did (probably most) but a lot did have to wait. It depends mainly on whether you filled out all the Match info correctly.

Yes, I think the vast majority of test-takers get scores on time. Being in the US and filling out your Match info would definitely help. @fairagoura Ahhh only 4 more days! I’m lucky to live in Pacific time so I will check starting at 10 PM on Tuesday night

Okay great. @Studious99 lol yay I’m on the Pacific too mwahaha
